  • Grew up evangelical. Now I’m not “religious” but am “Christ leaning.” Like, I appreciate the idea of Christ and hope that whatever higher being there might be has some Christlike qualities.

I don’t know. I doubt. I hope. I do shrooms. I’m confident there is more to existence than we know. I hope to leave a legacy of kindness. I like to learn and experience as much as I can. Love wins and transcends. I think enjoying the universe is method of worship. All that shit. ¯(ツ)_/¯

Also, when I was religious I was an amillenial partial preterist which pissed off a lot of bible thumpers in my region. Felt kind of punk to adopt those beliefs. That Left Behind shit is weird and never helped anyone.

  • IRC and playing Warcraft “online” by dialing my friend’s house. One time we messed with a telnet client. That was neat.

You guys remember pMachine (evolved into ExpressionEngine)? That shit blew my mind when I got it installed. No more Adobe Pagemaker.

  • I scored a nice pair of Johnston Murphy’s at the thrift store well over a decade ago. Have worn them daily since then. I polish them a couple of times a year but otherwise am pretty hard on them. The sheepskin insoles wore out a couple of years ago so I sent them an email and they shipped me a new set along with some laces for free. Customer for life now. (Even though I’ve never actually spent anything other than $5 at the thrift store)

  • Look up “Seagull Merlin”. It’s a stick dulcimer, dulcitar thing. You play it like guitar. Strummed or finger picked. The beauty is it’ss fretted in a way so that it plays “Do Re Me…” which makes it super easy and fun to play things by ear. You’ll have a blast. Cheap too.
