  • Laws not stopping murder doesn't mean laws against murder are useless

  • I mean if you want to suck the fun out of it only 4/22 of horseshoe crab species survived.

Saying any species not evolving for millions of years is a misnomer anyway. A living fossil only superficially resemble ancient species. Since both nautilus and horseshoe crabs are considered living fossils I thought it's a fair comparison.

But this is a silly little comic ultimately about the existential dread of modern human life so this level of pedantry isn't needed.

  • GTA 5 used an in-house engine (used previously, sure, but StarEngine is also modified from a pre-existing engine). The combined development and marketing budget is US$265 million. Development started in 2008 and released in 2013.

Cyberpunk 2077 also used an in-house engine, budget (not sure if marketing is included or not) is US$316 million. Development started in 2012 and released in 2020.

  • To put it to perspective Star Citizen's Kickstarter started on 2012. GTA 5 released on 2013, and GTA 6 is supposed to be out in 2025. If it doesn't get delayed too significantly we will get 2 full GTA games before SC is released.

  • At least the nautilus listened

  • The death spiral continues

  • You'd think "we drive with our eyes, cameras are eyes." is an argument against only using cameras but that do I know.

  • Xitter doesn't load for me

    xcancel.com still works... for now.

Though I think Brave has a builtin adblocker

Further down the article it says "Brave has a number of feature gaps compared to uBlock Origin, resulting in worse effectiveness as well." It's hard to beat uBO.

  • Personally I don't find a huge difference with reddit and threadiverse, at least for larger subs. Sure, on paper there are hundreds of comments, but most are the same tired decade old memes. You can predict what the comment sections are gonna be like from the title alone. At worst you get similar comments here, but you don't have to dig through hundreds of comments before finding something worthwhile.

  • Recently had my RAM died on me and bought a new pair. I had a 16gb and the 32gb ones were on sale. Really felt the difference lol

  • Investors we spoke to at the event thought the event was light of real numbers and timeline

Not like Elon is famous for keeping the timeline. Man on Mars and Tesla semi any day now.

  • Ea Nasir over here selling subpar code now

  • The last one I did seemed to be a snippet from a yt video. Maybe it's better now

  • We always wish we're as good as our opponent's propaganda

  • After I started using a VPN it's way too annoying to try and pass it. I use the audio alternative when possible. If not I kinda just give up lol
