Just working on giving it the ability to control everything in the house now, and the ability to edit shopping/todo lists, but i can have a fairly fliud voice to voice conversation with it while Im riding my motorbike to work.
What they really mean is "Brexit gave tory cunts the opportunity to rob the uk economy of £140bn and stick it their own pockets" someone needs to punch sunak in that smug horse face of his. Cunt!!
I got totally fed up with all the shit, content being spread everywhere and not knowing where to go to watch the things i wanted to watch, prices constantly going up all the time, quality dropping like a lead weight.
So switched to iptv. All the channels from uk, us, and a handful of other countries in europe including ppv sports etc. Also has a stack of disney, hulu, netflix and apple+ bundled in. 14usd a month. Installed on a firestick 4k max pro extreme limited edition. Has an epg, biggest pain is waiting for the epg to load the initial startup each day. Takes a couple of minutes. That being said, you can skip the epg if you want to skip straight to a channel.
Pirates ruled the 00's until streaming services cracked down on axxo and the gang, then spent the next 15 years or so destroying media amd convenience. Piracy will have amother day again soon, i can feel it in my wooden leg
Immutables are easy enough. Had a couple of months on the kde fedora spin. Fresh install and youll have no dnf (equiv of apt in debian) or other terminal tools. Might make you wonder what to do. The trick is toolboxes (or distrobox for a bit more umpfh).
Commands like this
toolbox create testzone
toolbox enter testzone
Install a load of shit that eventually fucks up your config somehow.. And if it goes to shit
toolbox rm testzone
If it complains the toolbox is still running when you try to delete you can kill it using podman to find its process id, then you can kill it. I forget the commands though
You can have a stack of toolboxes. Gives you dnf and all your terminal tools. Still a few things to work out with data storage since it locks most of the root directories. It wants you in best practice dirs like /home, /etc but thats also what stops it breaking.
If a toolbox isnt enough, you can use distrobox, which can give you other flavours of *nix within it.
I read that as "Distro for Piece of Shit". I was going to say, if you dont like them, install Gentoo.
Personally i tend to use Debian or Fedora. Fedora have also got a few distros that are immutable which if its a pos basically means it shouldnt ever break or get corrupted.
That being said.. If it works, dont 'fix' it. Debian is a decent OS.
Keyboards are a bundle item. Rarely buy keyboards except people in offices who want a wireless.m+k combo or foreign layout. Desktops always arrive with a keyboard. Every IT dept I ever worked in has piles of them surplus
Ok, so i guess you're dual boot. So in Windows, Device manager, find your network device and disable it there. It shouldnt ever reenable itself on its own.
Microsoft IPs blocklists exist, though I havent used them. I imagine they update frequently. Adguard home or pihole have good uses but itll need an always on device to run it.
A simpler idea which should be a 20 minute turn around to do, amd will cost you nothing would be either:
Set a static ip on the windows computer, blank out the dns so it cant reach the internet.
Set the MAC address on the windows ethernet adapter to something custom, or a static ip. Make sure the static IP is out of DHCP scope or at least not the same as your other OS or devices.
Then on your router, block internet access to that Device MAC or IP.
IMO, Honestly, at this point you probably arent going to miss much.
Youve presumably booted from an external device and installed an OS. I assume the time amd date are right.
Only question really is are you using efi or mbr boot method. If efi, you are probably fine and future proofed unless you want secure boot (windows) you may face an issue then. Thats not to say you will, just you might.
Intel have just released a driver update to combat this. Its somethimg to do with a transition layer implemetation that has been massively improved giving 500%+ performance boost.
I may be slight off here, but for anything other than viewing currently playing, and maybe a few other things, you need premium to choose a track, and control the player.
Or configure a local port on the dev vlan...
Sounds like a corporate environment where the many IT teams dont talk to each other, or network team are hiding out in a comms cupboard.
This is exactly what i think they are doing. I didnt know about the oil baron granddaughter funding it, but they are such fucking plebs and the message is being delivered to entirely the wrong people in the wrong places. They probably dont even realise they are sabotage acts. Seem to be passionate about the cause but even with a group of 10 of them they struggle to hit a cumulative double digit iq level. Get a new frontman you fucking goobers.
