There is nothing in theory wrong with a rate limit as long as its not set so absurdly low or to such a long amount of time as to impact actual users. The problem is implementing them stupidly.
It's a lot earlier when you realize that everyone else is going to treat this world like a smash and grab regardless of what you do. These companies included especially.
For example, if No Stupid Questions@kbin.social tomorrow decides to add a rule "No Post about cats" there are still others you can subscribe to that won't have that rule
Not Focal but for years I wanted to splurg on a pair of Sennheiser HD600. When I finally did it I love them. I don't get to use them often but when I do and some song comes on and you hear some tiny detail a song with more clarity than you even thought was in there before its fantastic.
