  • I really don't know this guy has a long term plan. If I were to bed, his wife died after denied insurance. Or possibly a close family member or friend. The fact that he could afford health insurance or had it through an employer implies he probably had a decent job. So a person he was planning to grow old with is now dead, his plans for the future are ruined, probably doesn't care about an item that costs a few hundred dollars. Maybe he wants to see how long he can evade the cops, but something tells me if they ever do catch the actual murderer, he's not going to care much as in his eyes he lost his future when the person he cared about died.

  • Hate to burst the bubble but this guy threatened the illusion that the billionaire class is untouchable. The ultra-rich are going to be leaning heavily on all the politicians and officials they helped put into position to ensure this guy gets caught no matter the cost, and ensure he's made an example of.

It might not be the NYPD or any other civil police department, but you can bet NSA & FBI leadership is getting multiple phone calls demanding they get involved and go over every piece of information related to the shooting they can get till they identify the killer. The ultra-rich won't let this one slide as one of their own was publicly murdered, so they won't stop at anything to ensure the killer's character is publicly murdered so that anyone who tries to copycat or get ideas can equally be ostracized as an outcast.

  • It's just taking advantage of the change in matter state. H2O expands ~16,000 times it's size when it boils from liquid water to gaseous steam. That increase in size means it wants to go somewhere else, we just control where it goes and it's relief valve happens to be going through a spinning wheel with magnets on it, inducing currents in the coils of wire around the wheel.

Yes it's way more complicated than that, but it's the best way we have of turning heat into electricity, so it's what we use. With the primary exception of solar, nearly every form of power production is using heat energy to indirectly spin a wheel.

  • How embarrassing

  • Reason #2193 we should have switched over to universal healthcare decades ago. For profit healthcare and services undermine the very thing they are supposed to provide

  • C-3PO was a parts kit. It wasn't that Anakin designed his own brand new droid, he gathered enough parts from scrap yards to mash together his own based on schematics that would have been available to anyone who regularly works on droids. In our time it was about as impressive of a feat as building a bookshelf out of lumber you salvaged from a local dump pile. Impressive for a boy that age, but anyone with the time and tools could do it.

  • I feel this is not a fair assessment.

2 people did die, but not because of the balloons.

2 people were out on the lake and their boat sank, the balloons hampered the rescue efforts.

Before anyone gets any ideas that the balloons crushed someone or suffocated them.

  • GOP almost certainly is already planning their super rich tax cut (again) and Trump wants to do the scam he did last time he was in office having the Secret Service stay in his hotels anytime he visits a place and charge the US govt out the nose. Gotta have money in there somewhere to cover that.
