  • Hmm my only fear with that is that we would be dragged down to the lowest common denominator. Could you imagine what would happen if the federal coalition was in charge of administering the rental market?!

    But I’ll add:

    • Mandatory certification for being able to rent housing out, revoked if a building is not suitable or if repeated misconduct occurs.
  • But I feel college was supposed to be a special time in your life

Short answer: this is what the university marketing departments want you to think.

The long answer is that college life is different for each person, especially with respect to why they’re going to college and what they want to get out of it.

Personally, I think one of the reasons why people find going to college to be such a special time of their lives is that they are exposed to a larger cohort of people, many of whom may have very similar interests and hobbies.

Popularity in high school means SFA once you’re in such a large cohort that you don’t need to interact with people you don’t care about.

But while some people need their college to provide this environment for them, other people are perfectly happy to seek out the same things from other network they already have. Those people may not get the same level of benefit from being in college for their social lives as other people.

  • The level of damage this collapse has done to confidence in the recycling system is enormous.

The government needed to do something to show that the work people took to separate their waste wasn’t in vain.

But this is an unambiguous federal government and the task has been left to the private sector to do a job it clearly doesn’t want to do.

Here’s hoping the restrictions on single use plastic actually see the light of day.

  • I remember visiting X.com in 2000 or so. Was a bank type website, which PayPal bought up. That’s probably how he got control of the domain. (ETA: more accurate answer below!)

But also, looks like the X11 logo

  • Ok so my theory is they’re not doing full 3D stuff on it because the GPU isn’t up to standard so they’re doing the whole floating frames thing.

But after a couple of generations it’ll be able to do gaming.
