I feel like phones have just gotten worse over time. My 1st smartphones had so many more cool features like rf blasters, removable batteries, headphone jacks, expandable storage, etc. now we force everything to the cloud, accelerate e waste with irreparable Bluetooth everything, but oooh it has a fancier camera!

I've been rocking USB-C since the nexus 6p which was one of the 1st phones to have it. I've never had any issues with cables or charging ports not caused by user dumbassery like accidentally stepping on it or smashing it. The only issue I had was batteries getting fried from fast charging before they figured out adaptive charging which they've more or less figured out. The design is pretty solid imo and it's very versatile. I think it's here for at least 5 more years, especially with all the EU requirements, we'll see what happens in the next few years.

He successfully got bombs in his shoes onto a transatlantic flight and was trying to light the fuse with a match. It wouldn't light because they had gotten wet. Passengers ended up subduing him. There was / is an actual threat there. Imo this is just so they can get some false flag bombings going to expand executive overreach.

Even if it weren't for the car turning itself off, the car could overheat idling in the heat. Hybrids are not immune from that. I own one and had it happen while idling because my kid was napping and I stayed in the car with him in the driveway of the house. I was in the car, and noticed the AC suddenly got hot. I turned the car off and noticed the pool of coolant under the car. I woke up the kid, and went inside and ordered a radiator (which was a bitch to install btw). It's incredibly negligent to leave your kids in a running car on a hot day. Also, someone could just come in and steal the running car with the kids in it. I hope they throw the book at her tbh.

They can come knocking all they want, but you are not legally required as an heir to pay that debt. Surely there are a few exceptions like mortgage payments (if u wanna keep the house), but personal debts like credit cards? Not your problem.

That's exactly what I did on the last job I applied to. I used a prompt along the lines of "I'm applying for a job. Here's the job description paste job description here's my resume paste resume. Please format it to best fit this job description. It knocked it out of the park, and filled it with all the stupid buzzwords I'd need to get through the application filter. The company is an AI company. If they have a problem with me using AI to make my resume better, they're missing the point.

I drop that reference all the time and no one ever gets it.
