  • A lot of older posts are still relevant to specific hobbies. I will look up information on paper, some guitar information, but most posts from the last two years are not worth looking at.

There is also so much regurgitated LLM shit.

  • Andrew Jackson was a piece of shit, but his views on SCOTUS are fairly applicable here. They don’t control the purse or the sword.

“Let’s see them enforce it”, and then he did whatever the hell he wanted to anyways for a while.

  • The argument I have heard from the Republican voters is some derivative of “we need to bring this country together and be united!” After a few questions is always under their ideology.

They want everyone to change to worship their fascist, racist, and regressive ideology rather than pull their heads out of the sand and realize everything they stand for is absolute trash.

Most of them don’t understand why we don’t worship Trump like they do. It’s so confusing to them that we don’t worship Biden or Harris like they worship Trump. To be a Republican is to lack all empathy.

  • When I was deployed, we had a dog at one of our checkpoints that would hang out and follow us. She would eat any MRE we gave her, except the Beef Stew MRE.

We watched this starving dog chomp down everything we gave her, and she had puppies. One sniff of the Beef Stew and she turned her head.

We collectively decided “I ain’t eatin that shit ever again.”

  • I went there a few months ago because of some happy meal toy my kids wanted. It was $60 to eat there. We could have went to Denny’s or Waffle House and gotten a massive amount of food for that price.

Instead, McDonald’s started filling their burgers with garbage filler and charging even more for it. My kids got home and were still hungry. Never going there again.

  • EV is a premium product, they are even designed to look different than other vehicles. People who buy an EV have a choice, it’s not a lowest bidder type situation.

Tesla’s used to be the cool EV. Sure, one could buy a different one but they are not as cool. Then Elon opened his mouth and the veil was lifted. Turns out he isn’t a genius, never got accepted to a PhD program, and his undergrad in physics is highly suspect. Then Elon went mask off as a fascist, right wing clown.

People buy EV’s are usually doing so for a status symbol and for the saving the environment ideology. Elon and his companies no longer represent that, and Teslas are no longer selling.

  • Reasonable expectations and also downsizing. It took me a long time to realize your stuff ends up owning you, especially stuff you don’t need.

It’s extra surfaces to clean, takes up space in your living area, and usually stops contributing to your mental well being.

Stuff like original artwork, that works for me. I like going to starving artist sales and can usually find something to put on the wall.

  • The picture doesn’t give a 3D placement for the bullet, it doesn’t prove anything. We are seeing an x,y picture without any frame of reference for the z-axis. The trail tells us little due to the limitations of digital photography and the camera used.

The glass fragments are not more rough, that’s not really a good way to describe the two surfaces. The glass also would not have shattered, it would have ruptured. The two are different mechanical differences for what happened. The amount of kinetic energy in the glass fragments would have been very high.

The glass fragments would have been much sharper than the rounded bullet. It’s essentially 1,000 flying small knives bumping into each other.
