That's a lot more than "a bit," and spacing above titles only really makes sense when there's content above it. This just suffocates the space available for the scrollable content.

I don't care about the number of rows, specifically, it's the particular layout that 7-row keyboards have. The point of a 7-row keyboard is having the text nav keys arranged the same as a desktop keyboard, like so:

I use those nav keys constantly and completely by feel. The very specific placement they have on a 7-row is critical to productivity without having to constantly fuck around with the mouse/trackpoint/trackpad. 6-row keyboards are dogshit.

Oh really? I didn't know that. I've only driven Japanese RHD cars, they all had the indicator stalk on the right side of the wheel. The number of times I turned switched on the wipers before turning...

On LHD cars, the stalk is on the left. On RHD cars, the stalk is on the right.

The number of automotive interfaces that we need to start strictly regulating because of trendy bullshit is getting fucking stupid.

A car door handle should be a mechanical device that's plainly obvious to anyone who's used a door handle, like, ever.

If phones are too dangerous to use while driving, then so is a fucking tablet glued to the dashboard.

I shouldn't need a camera to use reverse, just quit adding blind spots.

A steering wheel should be just that — a wheel.

Blinker control should be a stalk pointing to the driver's side door and self cancel.

And so on...

Governments should either be operating their own systems for this or, hell I don't know, why not just spin up a their ready-to-go Mastodon instance or something else in the fediverse not subject to the delirious whims of a petulant muskrat born with daddy's money?

I'm mostly read-only on reddit via RSS on a few subs I follow. As loathe as I am to admit it, reddit still has a massive user base with a lot of active niche discussions that lemmy just can't replicate yet.

Bullshit. Even the smallest 12" ThinkPads had all of these things. They were lightweight and compact, and still had 7-row keyboards, a status light for everything, and a plethora of ports.

You have to stay with the X, T or P series to get anything with decent quality. They've sullied the ThinkPad brand greatly over the years with the cheapshit variations outside of these series.
