So, it's definitely changed, but there is something called standard temperature and pressure, which is 59F/15C and 29.92 inches of Mercury. The temperature was the average global temperature back in like...the 50s? if I'm remembering right. It's been a while since I've been to school.

What I've found on both ends of the table is hints don't work, because they're subtle enough they could be anything. And lots of things are subtle that aren't anything.

The sonic weapon was sonar, I get that they were being dicks and it could have caused harm, but words do matter and saying they used a sonic weapon makes one think of an actual weapon with the intent of being used as a weapon rather than something being used in a dangerous way.

oh, that's a good point. I could see plants and animals migrating north (if they can reproduce in that direction fast enough), but that also means more invasive species wreaking havoc on the existing environment.
