I've used Wise before and it's worked well. There is a fee though, so I'm not sure if it's better than PayPal. Good luck there.

I totally say someone should leave if they want, I'm currently leaving the US and traveling and am looking for a place to settle that isn't America.

It's not cowardly to leave. Also, you can always change your mind or move on if that choice doesn't work out. I'd leave. But I'm already doing that.

This article got me thinking, but I wonder how things would go with a random democracy. Every cycle, you pick 100 or 200 people at random and they are the congress. Add in field experts, not lobbyists, to provide expertise on topics.

Of course, nations would never do this because the ruling class would now have 1% representation.

Ranked choice voting usually still results in two major parties. Approval voting, where you check off everyone you approve of and see who has the most, may be a fairer system.
