This is something I'm very much behind. I think firefox is doing something similar if i am not mistaken. One of my favorite shows is a Japanese tv show called GameCenter CX. Fans create subtitles but its a lot of work. Lately they have been using ai to generate subtitles and while some are a bit messed up, you at least get the idea what is going on and they can work off of that if necessary.

But i can't hear shit when my washing machine is on! Let alone have a fucking phone call! Who comes up with this shit...

The only 2 are final fantasy 7 rebirth and the new yakuza/like a dragon game.

Can anybody explain to me why there is an inauguration fund? What is that money going to? Balloons and a bowl of chips for the party? I get why they are paying trump. Its because its basically protection money. But i don't get the "inauguration fund"?

But valve is not powerless. They provide the API to easily trade outside of the steam marketplace. And saying Valve is morally earning money while the competition does not, its not a fair thing to say. Valve started the whole slotmachine lootbox bullshit in the first place. They know very well what they're doing. Valve could give gamblers 2 weeks to take their skins off the sites and then block API access to these casinos or just shut down the API completely. Saying victims will be hurt so lets have casinos continue to create victims, is a strange argument to make.

Yes, Epic launcher is shit. But steams features aren't all it is praised to be either. I like some of it like the recording feature and steam link. But ANYTHING on steam involving community is absolute garbage. Guides are just meme bullshit. Discussion forums for games are filled with hate speech, points farming and incels. Screenshots is a ton of sexual stuff. Their customer service is horrific. Moderation is almost non existent. CS2 is a gambling similator filled with underaged addicts and Valve profits a ton from them.

I own a steam deck and use it everyday. But only for games because any Steam aspect involving the platform is absolute shit.

I honestly feel like this with Genshin Impact. It looks absolutely breathtaking and in 20 years it will still be beautiful. It runs on a damn potato. I personally like the lighting in a lot of scenes way better than the lighting in some titles that have path tracing.
