  • That is the Youtube link parameter for Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up'. It's understandable if Moderators unknowingly suspend an account thinking it is a bot due to such a username. But the lack of clarification or provision of reason for suspension is incompetence on their part.

  • Post-war he worked for the German Foreign Office where he instituted the "Hallstein Doctrine" of diplomatically isolating East Germany.

So basically he went from being a Fascist Lapdog to being a Fascist Lapdog. Got it.

  • Have not done any in a while due to other work. But mostly consisted of Helix (editor) in multiple Alacritty (terminal emulator) instances (AWM Dynamic Window Manager for Window Management). That's all that would be open. All my work is on the terminal; easy, fast, to the point, no visual obstructions. (In fact I ironically find it inconvenient in my case to use GUI Applications these days.)

  • For Apple products there is the petty "status symbol" thing. If I share my experience, my father has a mania of buying such stuff only for the sake of imagining that he is on some position where he is like, "Oh I own this and that, you peasants won't understand." The macbook he bought many months ago now lies dusted on a shelf because it is practically useless to everyone in the household at the moment. It's a total waste of money for something no one cares about but him. I do not argue about it as it is a waste of time for me. It's his dogma and his money. I have a more rational mindset of looking at things with a materialistic approach i.e. analytically measuring an object's use value rather than its prestige.

  • Highlighting this just because I happened to scroll down and came across this. Everything that constitutes matter is considered Chemical. The "X has lots of Chemicals while our product Y is chemical free" is a pseudo-scientific marketting tactic that Naturopaths and Ayurveds commonly use, at least from the Indian Context as I live here. Other than that, have whatever you desire. A person only has one life after all.

  • Greetings from an Ex-Hindu Atheist. I was never really into Religious Banter that much even as a small kid. But I would say the major propelling force that made me become an Atheist would be my curiosity and eagerness to study science. Science answered all those questions Religion could not and my treatment by my super religious parents helped me not to retain any religious superstitions. Their berating only gave me more strength to continue my study of science and legitimized my standings.

  • I host my projects mostly on Codeberg but still keep a Github account because of the multitude of useful projects that are unfortunately hosted on GitHub. I wouldn't waste a second to delete my GH account if those projects migrated to Codeberg or any other Libre alternatives.
