and the nature of their 1000s of experiments going at the same time isn't methodical at all. they don't actually know what iteration of google search was the best and most useful one. there's no going back to what worked because at no point did they ever know what worked. the modern shitty google search is the best version we will ever get to use again.

google embedded them as a core piece of information infrastructure and then demolished themselves. now our information networks fundamentally do not work anymore

this is part of why it's important for everyone to pay attention to the asymmetric warfare being conducted in Ukraine. for one, it's a genocide, don't look away and speak for their liberation just like i hope everyone is speaking up for all colonized peoples, like Mayans, Darfurians, Congolese, Palestinians, and Uyghers. for another the skills demostrated may become necessary in the near future

that's why i've been documenting the horrors i can find evidence of in my town. too many white liberals think because nothing bad has happened to them means that nothing bad could be happening. their peaceful homogonized neighborhoods are pretty evenly split between white liberals and white conservatives, and they get along fine with the conservatives and assume that's how the cons treat everyone.

this is part of how the overton window shifts rightward. the more isolated someone is, the easier they are to manipulate. these isolated white liberals lack diversity of perspective but value open mindedness as a virtue. the only people they encounter who disagree with them look like them, talk like them, and eat like them. the only difference is they don't value open mindedness. they want to maintain a community of only people who look like them, talk like them, and eat like them.

resisting fascism starts at home. it starts by choosing to inherit the stories of our past and speak of this truth to others. coalition building is a process of both finding people you can trust and a process of notifying people that their one PoV isn't the only way to see the world and that they might have work to do

agreed. i didn't downvote the thread starter because this is how our media always writes about prison deaths, but that's on purpose. they shape the way we talk about these things in order to shape how we think about it. i think the thread starter is legitimately trying to disseminate exactly what happened, but the hegemonic language of the elite has infiltrated how they discuss these things through no specific fault of their own. i left a reply to the thread starter that was meant to directly critique the institutions and systems that lead to this without calling the thread starter themself the problem.

this has always been the dirty trick of fascism. you won't get a cushy job for running off your marginalized neighbor or isolating yourself from the countries you've long exploited. you will instead become the new marginalized class, and your community will become the exploited colony of the empire.
