  • Give Vintage Story a shot! Like you'll go in with a MC mindset and slowly realize you're in a whole new world. It's dark and the wolves after after you and the 3 stacks of berries you collected have all rotted. Is that a bear? What does it mean "temporal storm approaching"?

(few weeks later you've mastered voxel by voxel claymaking, knapping, and maybe done gotten some smithing done if you've managed an avil. Winter is approaching, is your cellar stocked? Do you have warm clothes?)

(Been playing for years and still learning things, and the devs seem to outpace mojang in terms of adding features, you get modding built in, and the chiseling...by god the chiseling...)

  • Shrinkflation and possibly exstential dread I don't have the same life experience of a tube of chips!

  • I bet the new one also feels a bit more empty inside.

  • My body's just a flesh vessel for an immortal being whose name if you heard it would make you lose your mind.

  • I'm content with my ~120 hours played so far even if I don't play again. But I probably will, especially with mods or future content. It doesn't quite have the build flexibility of an elder scrolls game though. Hopefully they'll add more variants to the bases etc. Generally happy if a game has 40 hours of gameplay and there's easily 40 hours of content in Starfield.

The NG+ stuff is interesting but after playing it a bunch it's both a plus and a minus, like it's neat to have the options there, but also might've been better to start actual new characters.

  • At the least we need more walk-in clinics/urgent care with Nurse Practitioners, actually open and staffed. If you want to go really crazy make sure they have doctors, and if you are truely insane enough to fund a functioning healthcare system, make sure people have access to a family doctor to start with.

  • Think I will wait for the new Grim Dawn DLC and Titan Quest 2 instead thanks

  • Empire was so well played, going from amicable to terrifying. Lee Pace makes that show!

  • Always reminds me of one of my favorite books (part of a series) The Collapsium by Will McCarthy. A big part of the book is their version of teleporting which does involve destruction and recreation, but while you're at it you could make more than one copy at the destination...

  • I hate it when YT slowly boxes you into a corner with like the same couple of channels and a bit of nonsense for good measure. And then it starts recommending videos you've already watched for so reason. I mean how many millions of hours are uploaded everyday? Is there nothing else you can show me?

  • There are probably multiple indie game bubbles, like roguelike card game bubbles or Metroidvania 2d retro 16 bit graphics game bubbles.

  • What a colossal screw up. He really should step down - like this has geopolitical ramifications these days.

  • I just talked to a guy who was facing away from me, well his head was looking at the wall while his body was pointed at me. It was..disconcerting..(and amusing!)

  • Up to 87 hours warts and all. Have played through some great quests. Also found plenty of bugs and annoyances, but overall it's great. The random procedural quests are a nice addition, a call back to Daggerfall. The space combat is an ok addition. Bases are the big waste of time here, but you don't really need to do one. There are lots of nice shoutouts to your character after doing certains quests, including NG+. (Few things that don't make sense, and they could've pushed it farther - ::: spoiler spoiler like does it makes sense to join the Crimson Fleet in the Razorleaf, better to have cut out that questline for that play thru IMO ::: ) Overall quite satisifed and i'm enjoying it a lot. I can see getting to 100 hours easily without mods.

  • Possibly a few (though to not finish the first quest would be unusual).

  • If I use a sample size of me and use my library of a measurement, it's probably more than 25% of games I haven't even launched let alone completing the first mission.

  • "Boat..boooooat!"

    "SoW Plz!"

  • "now that's a scary number!" /em drags into box

  • That link just seemst to be a mastadon feed and I cna't seem to get any info about the engine from there.

  • My pre-starlink shitty rural internet disagrees with your statement.
