  • Fascists are the prime spreaders of anti-communism. Many of the myths about Soviet atrocities or Russian supremacy in the Soviet Union originated in Nazi propaganda. The most vicious anti-communists are usually fascists and the most principled anti-fascists are usually communists. The fascist blackshirt gangs rose in Italy as a counter force to the rise of communism, killing communists and labor organizers. The first people the Nazis killed were communists. Communist parties and the red army were the first to rise up and defend against fascism. US installed Fascist/neoliberal (what’s the difference?) dictators like Suharto and Pinochet genocided communists. Where were Nazis effectively cracked down on? Socialist countries like the USSR.

Where’s the liberal anti-fascism? Liberals always defend fascists’ “free speech” and condemn the suppression of reactionary views. They think you can “debate them in the market place of ideas,” but you can’t. The liberal United States allowed most medium to high ranking Nazi party members to keep their position in West Germany. East Germany effectively de-nazified. The US nuked Japan to make them surrender on their conditions so they could keep the same fascists in power to be an anti-communist beacon, just be under the US’s thumb. If they surrendered to the then invading Red Army (like they almost did) they would have had to Denazify and the on-the-ground Communists who were gaining traction might have gotten power. Today it is the Liberal democrats that support flag waving fascists in Ukraine and their banning of all opposition (especially left-parties and trade unions).

By the way, this is the first time I’ve seen you off matrix, welcome. I hope you learn a few things while you’re here.

  • I would recommend On Practice and On contradiction by Mao.

  • You’re the one reducing possibilities. Your dichotomy is between staying a territory and becoming a state. While being a state is nominally better than being outright occupied subjects, prior to colonization they were better off, and you suggest decolonization and not being colonized aren’t options.

  • Reading the Amazon description, it seems decent. i haven’t read it so that’s all I’ll say.

  • 🧅 💕

If only this is how geopolitics worked. Imagine Ibrahim Traoré beating Emanuel Macron’s ass.

  • They already do when it comes to gusanos, so maybe Latinos with mostly colonizer blood will be considered “white” soon. Theres already a separate category for white Latinos so maybe they’ll merge it with “white.”

  • I don’t represent all of us. Maybe we do…

  • A peasant isn’t a person, they’re six for holodomor numbers.

  • All do respect, but I don’t read fanfic or what youre making fanfic of.

  • "It's OK," he said. "Please don't cry. Come on in on the couch. The news will be on any. minute. We can do it there." "It?" said Oedipa. "Do it? What?” "Have sexual intercourse," replied Nefastis. "Maybe there'll be something about China tonight. I like to do it while they talk about Viet Nam, but China is best of all. You think about all those Chinese. Teeming. That profusion of life. It makes it sexier, right?"

    • excerpt from The crying of lot 49 by Thomas Pynchon

Literal Sinophile. Is this what China haters think us Dengist tankies are like?

  • The Qanon anonymous podcast does a good rundown of it. There’s also a good boy boy video joking about how random the supposed Russian bot posts are too.

  • It’s not an insult, it just means someone who is relatively new to radical politics. All they’re saying is it’s a sort of rite of passage to find out leninade or something like that exists and be let down that they aren’t actually based, just as all spider-people’s pig dads die.

  • Whenever someone types stfu think of the Southern Tenant Farmers Union, I know I will

    (Settlers excerpt)

  • I’ve had stalinade, but not leninade. I didn’t expect it to be more than a gimmick.

  • It seems possible for fascists to seize the state machinery, but if the government started invoking hitler and Mussolini people would revolt, as the know those people are obviously bad. Socialists wouldn’t be able to take the whole country at once for certain, and no strong socialist movement invoking the name of the United States could survive, as those most oppressed and likely to fight are not your average white “middle class” “patriot.”

  • My main takeaways were, if this is true that: China values necessary caretaking jobs more than us; China is prosperous enough regular people can afford to let their children not work in between studying; and there might be enough labor productivity to start decreasing labor hours while decreasing unemployment on their path toward socialism.

  • The thing is, it’s hard to know if he actually believes in the feds and is just being fed public facing information, or if it’s more truthful based on what the feds actually think.

  • Sure the US military is the largest contributing entity, but agriculture is the largest sector. Especially considering that it’s responsible for 40% of methane released, and as it’s more potent if methane emissions stopped happening today climate change would be a lot slower.

  • That’s because it’s not agriculture in general that is a leading factor in climate change, but capitalist agriculture. In no other system would animal agriculture at this massive scale be incentivized or would it be so easy to ignore environmental externalities. In the same way that burning things for fuel isn’t the problem, but capitalist exploitation of fossil fuels.
