Any idea if there's a way to block shorts using PiHole? I mostly consume YouTube on mobile devices (Android and iOS) but would love to get rid of that garbage.
Love the idea, but just to be the devil's advocate, I think it will just mask garbage videos. Currently, the clickbait thumbnails and titles are an indicator to blacklist a channel, without having to waste time watching it.
On launch it would stutter, could not hit reliable 60fps, had glitches and bugs all over. If you were ok playing at 30fps it would somewhat chug along, but for any smoother experience it just could not hit the marks.
Console versions still suffer from terrible screen tearing (and unlike PC they don't have a vsync toggle).
Guardians of the Galaxy game had some of the wildest at direction, just like the movies. There isn't really anything else like it. Check some screenshots or a let's play to see if it's your cup of tea.
My hot take: VR is an amazing technology, but it's no good for games - at least not the best majority of games we originally developed for flat screens.
We need to create entirely new styles of entertainment to fully use this medium, instead of modding existing titles or bolting on VR modes.
People love to hate on motion controls, but when implemented well, they are actually the best way to play shooters. Also without motion controls VR would have never gotten to where it is now.
I rock a pair of these:
LG UltraGear QHD 27-Inch Gaming Monitor 27GL83A-B - IPS 1ms (GtG), with HDR 10 Compatibility, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and AMD FreeSync
Works great for games and productivity. My only complaint is that at 144Hz in HDR the panels tend to get rather warm - causing my eyes to feel dry after a while. Not sure if that's just this model or a common thing.
Personally I prefer multiple discrete screens to a single panel. While working they help me mentally isolate primary and secondary tasks and windows. While gaming I turn one off completely, or keep maps, guides, helpers on the secondary.
