I lowkey want this, it's like the system equivalent of the screen cat (btw does that exist but with Wayland support?)

For a GUI thing like that, KDE has had it since 5.27: announcment called Window Tiling, with its graphical Tile Editor that by default is opened with Meta+T

I think a sensible progression is: nix + home-manager -> flakes -> develop -> nixOS

That's actually great! Maybe I'll try those as well, since sooner or later I'll have to learn the Nix language anyways and keeping a purer system is always a good thing if possible.

They said you can merge without conflicts:

Making a backup every 60 days seems to be sufficient to keep all history. sqlite doesn't reuse old ids (I think?) so merging the backups shouldn't be too hard.

But they haven't tested it, also I wonder if once you do that successfully, Firefox will just delete all the extra records at the next startup, so idk
