There are [about] 200 state public utility commissioners across the country – every state has [a commission]. In about 40 of the states, they’re appointed – usually by the governor – although in a couple of states, it’s by the legislature. And then, in about 10 states, they’re elected.
I read the article before I saw it here (I follow ars). What they describe hasn’t been my experience. I press the power button on the Apple TV and it HDMI-CECs the TV power on and changes the input to the Apple TV HDMI eArc channel. They could change that behavior but it would break HDMI-CEC.
This always falls on its face for work. No one does collaboration as easy as Microsoft and that’s not changing anytime soon. I mean, everyone would have to move all at once. I can move to Linux on my personal devices and it’s not going to change stats one bit.

Emails stay unread till dealt with in Outlook, same with Teams.
Calendar events for day and time specific things/meetings.
Sticky notes for day to day tasks so I can cross them off. Going all digital just sucks. I like crossing things physically off a list.
Reminders on my personal device for really big DO NOT FORGET to dos. Those are rare.
It’s more about the teacher than those who are in charge. That logical conclusion is also the only morale one. I hope she stays strong and fights this oppression.
This is why merchants use the highest fee and bake that into their margin on profit. Everyone’s prices go higher thanks to the merchant fees.
