  • Interesting. Most sleep meds I've been given were always originally made for depression, or vise versa. Pharmaceuticals always seemed to be an educated guess followed by trial results. Not an exact science. It sucks.

  • My thoughts on TEMU: it's a CCP astroturphing campaign to overtake Amazon et al.

Their model fits that narrative imo.

First exploit citizens to increase national economic growth. They then had a monopoly on outsourced production. They began stealing IP from company's that did business with them. They flooded Amazon et al with cheap knockoff products, price wise there's no competing with them.

Now they're going to cut out the middlemen. TEMU is the latest attempt to divert what little they don't own of the marketplace to their own pockets.

Don't get me wrong, fuck all the big monopoly billionaire enabling companies of today. But right now it's then vs a stronger Chinese economy (read military) and I'll settle for the status quo until we get that dissolved.

  • I'm with you. I recently jumped on mastodon and can't get into the Twitter style. I follow a few things of interest but it's like comparing cable TV programming with Netflix, I don't want to be told what to watch but I need a nudge and structure to wade around in (if that makes sense).

  • Ok let's get combative about it? There's literally zero fucking context, you're making assumptions based on an obvious bias..

Like I said, fuck this guy. But I've noticed a lot of left leaning conservative bashing shit on here is out of context and that helps literally fucking nobody. It makes you look fucking stupid.

Be factual, provide irrefutable context, bash away, fuck em.

Here's a picture of a shitty person with no additional info! Let's make shit up to fit our narrative! Oh look, somebody asked a question to clarify the picture?! They must be against me! Childish..

  • Open source can be a double edged sword for that but I dig it.

I think dependencies in Linux packages does cause a lot of issues but that's mostly on air gaped networks, and even still manageable.

Sizing the target depends on what threat actors are involved though so those broad stroke statements don't hold up well in reality, from my Experience.

  • To be fair if it's scored high enough there are usually workarounds posted and supported to hold you over for patch Tuesday.

I've done patch management on both platforms and find the predictability easier to manage. But that's not home use so grain of salt stuff.
