Subaru did this with remote start. Instead of just selling you the damn option you have to pay a subscription. Fuck that I'll just walk outside and start the car..

For real.. going back to the snickers comment, their version of the FDA would pull any food that anybody could be allergic to.

I'll admit when I first was this story I kind of rolled my eyes at it, but the more you look into it the more it makes sense.

An unfortunate tragedy, a kid lost his life. That's terrible and we should do our best to make sure it doesn't happen again.

standard protocol on a lot of cars is to just download everything off the phone that it can access.

First I'm hearing about this capability. How do you figure they're doing that with a Bluetooth connection?

Oh yeah I'm not saying use word. Notepad++ or the native sticky notes are both good alternatives for WordPad.

Honestly they tried to salvage when instead they should've dissolved that part of it. It's unfortunate, but seeing any of that without Chadwick is just too depressing.

11 sucks but notepad and explorer are pretty nice.

Honestly if I need to format, that gets done in the app that I'm going to send whatever text.

Whatever goes into notepad for me will either get deleted, go into notepad++, or whatever app I'm going to send it (office).

Sounds like you could benefit from replacing WordPad with Notepad++.

Windows 11 notepad is wildly different than what we've known with good ol pre-11 notepad.

I am forced to use windows 11 in some capacity for work and the notepad on it is actually really nice.

It's word pad though, do you really ever use it? I use notepad for a quick temp fix in a pinch, I haven't used word pad in like 15 years.

Yeah it was some bullshit because the router is advertised as running WRT and there is an image for it, but that stupid radio chip fucked it all up.

You're supposed to take vitamin D and K together for this reason. They make combo pills.

No it was a linksys issue. But honestly I just replaced it was an Asus router and called it a day. It's a nice concept and works well for some people's use cases. It's not difficult to implement but to me wasn't justified.
