  • Punk rockers are the resistance that’s been standing by at the ready the whole time.

Punk rock attitude, DIY mentality, and general nonconformity are the tools we’ll need to stand up to fascism. They’re also the classic attributes of the “American individual” (not sure why this is no longer in vogue)

Some punk rockers seem like “normies” until they’re radicalizing everyone at your dinner party, reciting lyrics from propagandhi songs as conversation starters.

Love jello love bad religion love a million shitty bands that only produce one or two songs or records too.

It’s the ocean of punk rock I love to swim in.

Knowing there’s millions of folks who think like me all over the world helps keep me sane.

Finding random songs I like by random bands with very few plays is my drug of choice

But punk rock is a phase I’m sure I’ll grow out of it by the time I reach my 20s30s40s… 50s?

I’ll probably die in a nofx shirt.

  • Citizen sabotage was taught by the CIA as an effective way for insurgents in a country we wanted to topple to hurt their defensive and warmaking power.

The best tactic in this regard; incompetence.

Just get a job where you help them. But be bad at it.

Lose papers. Email things backwards. Leave messes. Pour the wrong chemicals in the wrong thing. Send messages on Monday instead of Friday. Spoil supplies by making them wet and letting them rot.

  • tangentially related.

Bingo. Not in the industry. I get what you’re saying and yeah I picked up gigs while slinging guitars and amps but it is not a job in “the business”. And working there they will try to keep you from getting one that would mean you depart them.

Since music biz jobs are often on the road.

  • I think you’re being a little overly heated over a meme phrase.

Maybe. All the same, I prefer to keep people’s icky superstitions from being normalized as “just meme phrases”

There used to be a lot of those that people would say that they don’t anymore.

I’m 100% allowed to hate Christianity and not want it pointed at me in any way. I’m allowed to be overly heated about it too.

In my country Christians have made my daughters the first generation of American women to have fewer rights than their mothers did.

So “my brother in Christ” is the same to me as “my brother in the acceptable oppression of others”

    Fuck that shit.
