It looks like the behavior of "view more" has recently changed. Before it would load just the sub tree of comments but now it loads them within the main comment tree. Old way was a bit jarring but loaded correctly, new way scrunches comments as they get too close to right side border.
I identify interesting rabbit holes as I go, and I do eventually pursue some of them when the timing is right. It's not really subconscious though, conscious me is making those decisions.
Differential equations. Had the worst math teacher ever for LA and DE. I memorized enough to pass the class but did not really understand diff eq. Next semester, we used diff eq in my physics classes with a great professor who explained them beautifully. What form do you think the solution takes? Using an algebraic formula for that form, solve for the unknowns. Tada! If there is a solution, you've just solved a differential equation!
From a mouse lover who's never heard of gyro aiming because eww joystick gross, that actually sounds really cool. I don't like that the screen is coupled with the movement, but it gets you multiple sensitivity ranges including tactile precision on the same input device.
I personally would rather follow topics than people. I don't know or care what the founder of Adobe had for breakfast. I like the idea of community aggregate voting to drive an interesting feed. Maybe Mastodon can do that better than I know because I only gave it a few days... but I was nowhere near what I wanted after a few days where Lemmy was good from day 0.
I wonder if the tater could be sous vide after slicing to perfect temp and then somehow flash crusted. Similar idea to twice cooked fries that are boiled, frozen, then fried.
