It's funny. When the impeachment attempt was announced, it was roundly condemned by Very Serious Leftists as useless and, in fact, targeting Trump for something that was not actually illegal, and thus more proof of Dem complicity by engaging in 'pointless' symbolic action instead of 'real' interference.

And now that most Dem reps seem to agree with this position, many of those same Very Serious Leftists regard not supporting the impeachment attempt also as proof of Dem complicity.

What will the kids today think of next!

If the Marines decide to shoot you, it'll be for reasons slightly more complex than "They were ordered to", like "They were ordered to and believe that shooting you is in line with their values." Unfortunately, you're probably looking at a 50/50 split as to whether they're Trump bootlickers or not

Policy was mixed on that - sometimes they kept auxiliaries near their home regions (because they knew the land and because they were less prone to 'acting out' when they were posted near home), and other times, especially after mutinies or revolts, they'd post them far from their home province, like sending North African and Sarmatian (near modern Ukraine and Romania) auxiliaries to the sunny reaches of the northern borders of Britannia.

Hope isn't the right word for me. But I would very deeply enjoy Trump swinging from a noose of his own make.

Context matters. Someone using profanity more often than they otherwise would in the same context is generally a signifier of stress or excitement.

That's not mutually exclusive with frustration at the world falling apart around us.

500$ per person is a lot. Like, I don't consider myself to be living the life of an involuntary ascetic anymore, but it's over triple what I spend for myself. And I legit waste some food.

In my defense, it's so fucking easy to buy a bunch of bananas and say "I'll have a few tomorrow", but tomorrow you have one, and the day after that you don't feel in the mood for bananas, and before you know it the bastards have gone mushy

Seperate from groceries, ordering out has gotten crazy fucking expensive. Literally doubling in cost in just the past 5 years or so. Insane shit. I haven't bought even fast food for myself in probably 2 years at this point.

My monthly food bill is around 150$ since I've gotten slightly more financially stable - no more surviving on ramen and cereal! I can buy good bread, fruit, corn, frozen chicken, and cheese. Life is good.

Soda was always a non-negotiable purchase, since I'm an addict, but buying on sale helps. It's not like it goes bad quickly, after all.

Man, I buy soda and brand name cereal (store brand tastes like sadness 9/10 times) and still don't hit anywhere close to that.

Sometimes when I hear how much money people spend on groceries, I'm in awe. Who the fuck is spending 500$ on groceries per person per month? HOW the fuck are they doing it?

Like I said, I'm improving. It's the world falling apart around me that's making me feel it's a bit superfluous to be achieving mental stability at this point in life.
