I'm happy for you but unfortunately this isn't a solution for me, because old PCs don't have HDMI 2.1 support. I would have to buy a modern GPU, and I rather not spend hundreds.
Old computers don't have HDMI 2.1 support, silly. I'd have to buy a modern GPU, and I don't want to spend hundreds just for a slightly faster interface.
Hell, my fucking $2000 OLED came with a shit processor and only 8GB of storage; it's laggy as fuck and only had room for one more app. Had to remove a bunch of crap via ADB just for the TV to be usable. It's annoying as fuck that even high-end TVs come with the equivalent of a $50 Chinese phone under the hood.
Does anyone know of a box I can plug into the TV that actually has a decent CPU, at least 12GB of RAM, and usable storage space? It also needs to run on Android, and have a HDMI 2.1 port for 4K 120Hz support with HDR. I watch a lot of HFR content and stream PC games so this is a must. The remote should also be able to control the TV (including entering the menu), and the Dolby Atmos receiver too. Last thing I want is for the wife to complain about having to juggle 2 or 3 remotes just to watch Stremio.
Disagree on the taste, and hate the wafer-thin patties, but you can't argue with the price. Cheapest fast food in town.
That said, you can make the burgers a little more palatable by asking for a 4x4 with chopped chilies and pickles, and replacing the spread with mustard. Makes it taste closer to a traditional double cheeseburger. But unfortunately the buns still taste like crap, so I have to order it protein style, and either spend a little extra money grabbing my own buns from the grocery store (and thus negating any cost savings), or simply eating the burger without a bun.
And don't even get me started on how bland the fries are. Quite honestly the worst French fries I've ever had. But they're okay if you order them with cheese (or animal style without the spread). TBH, I'm just not much of a fan of fries. I wish they had more choices for side dishes.
But again, you can't beat the price, so I'm willing to sacrifice on taste to save a little money from time to time. But I will never understand why people like the taste so much.
My X670E system also uses a shitload of power. Literally 150w at idle, no matter what I do. Tried disabling every unnecessary feature in the BIOS and enabling all the energy efficient settings I can find, to no avail. Drives me nuts.
I hate how pro right wing YouTube is. Half the time I make an anti-Trump comment, it gets censored. But plenty of pro-MAGA comments get through constantly.
I can tell that I'm getting censored because my comments simply won't be there when I go back to the same video from a different account. But it'll show up in my comment history with a "some comments might not be visible yet" disclaimer at the top. Sometimes if I keep reposting the comment it'll eventually go through, but by then the video has stopped being promoted by the algorithm and so no one sees it. This only happens to me when I get political.
Bro. Do you not know what the words "not interested" mean? I wasn't going to read your first wall of text, and I'm surely not going to read that second one. I can't handle the ignorance from bigots and bootlickers.
Edit: Downvote me all you want, but the fact of the matter is that Lemmy is social media. There's media on here, and we discuss it in a social setting. Literally the definition of "social media".
Unfortunately the wrong people are the ones with guns, because most of my fellow leftists in this country still believe in the myth that you don't need a gun if you're going to live in a country full of people with mental health issues and lack of access to affordable treatment.
