People need to stay worried, stay alert, and show up to vote. Not just for the presidential election. Anyone taking the time to read posts here has paid attention to what Democrats have wrought over the past few years whenever they've had power.

Folks - never vote Democrat, never vote in a way that indirectly benefits Democrats. The strawmen about what conservatives might do barely measure up to what the Democrats have done.

Turn out for the midterms, turn out for your piss ant local elections. If you have the time, get involved with assisting a campaign you favor. Obstruct Democrat power grabs at every opportunity. It's the only path forward - we've been shown the alternative.

I think it absolutely could have been done. The officers could be on comms during away missions and you could absolutely flesh out multiple characters in the lesser ranks that would be communicating the situation back to command.

Then you could absolutely have dramatic moments where senior staff or the captain are either required to join them or abducted.

So I was a nuclear operator on a submarine. Our boats are fucking badass, but when we go silent, the plant still has to operate on "natural circulation". Now I don't want to get into that, but suffice to say it means water still has to flow. That flow means a little bit of sound.

Iran has diesel boats. They have to surface every couple days to run their loud as fuck engines to charge batteries.

But once the submerge? Just running on batteries?

They're quieter than us. We would never know where they were. They could sink a carrier in a second.
