I meant what edition, and I mean what I said. Group policy, registry keys, or scripts/programs that remove it ala shut up 10.

With Linux I have ownership over my computer and control of the software. I couldn't use anything else.

What version of Windows are you using, and is it possible you forgot about configuring OneDrive away? This is the default in most versions of 10 and 11.

It's not really her fault. Microsoft pushes people to use their onedrive and pay for a subscription even when people have no clue what it is or what it does. Microsoft is just insanely anti-consumer.

There is no need to use external programs anymore unless you want some kind of special behaviour (like the plugboard that qjackctl gives you). Pipewire has reimplemented Pulseaudio, ALSA, and JACK, which at one point in time were 3 separate projects.

Pipewire emulates all 3 seamlessly. So when you run a program through JACK, pipewire picks it up pretending to be normal JACK. To the program, it looks like you have a standard JACK server, but on the backend, it's running through Pipewire instead. You should get the same low-latency too.

Do make sure you have pipewire-jack or the equivalent package installed.

Hunger Games depicted revolution's harsh but necessary sides in a realistic way, and that elevates it above all other YA I've ever read. Granted I stopped reading YA novels after 16 but still.

Katniss has a real personality, real desires, and loses things because she (thought) she decided to lead a revolution. Only to find out that she wasn't in charge at all and only a figurehead at best, and herself became a victim of the revolution. Nonetheless the revolution was absolutely necessary.

The world of the Hunger Games is much bigger than the teenage protagonists and that's... missing in most of young adult fiction.

It was derivative. You missed out on nothing. Hunger games did it way better.
