  • It's a lesson taught by some religious (e.g. Sunday School) teachers. It goes something like asking a group of kids "well you don't want to eat a cookie that has just a little bit of poop, would you?" Relating it to some "worldly" practice, from my hazy ADHD memory I seem to remember it being swearing in my lessons, but there's many variations I heard from other people.

So the idea is "just 1" worldly thing is 1 too many and you must stay 100% pure for the big G.

In this case, she's saying the metaphorical poop in our society "cookie" is trans people existing.

    It's utter christofascist puritanical horseshit.

  • Interesting. Anecdotally from my time living in Northern Alberta there is a strong Mormon presence there. Where I live now in AB as well, there's quite a few small towns that are 90% Mormon or more. So I'm still inclined to believe that, but I have no real evidence other than my experience.

  • He's going into PR mode harder right now because he wants to win over would-be NDP voters. Problem is, he has the power of PM right now and hasn't done anything meaningful for the issues that people have most on their mind - housing especially. He's a typical status-quo liberal and people don't want that right now. The younger crowd is aware more than ever how the system is rigged against us from the start. Conservatives are deranged and want to take away the rights of minorities. There just isn't a place for a Justin Trudeau in today's world.

  • Middle class isn't real. Everybody (perhaps over a certain age) thinks they are the middle class. There are those who own the factories, farms, offices, etc. And there are those who go in and sell their labour to make a living. "Middle class" is a term invented to sow division in the second group.

  • Sorry, Musk is really just this incompetent, and our society allows people to fail upwards in this manner.

The people at the top didn't do anything unique to deserve being up there. The meritocracy is a lie - Musk proves it.
