Is this one of those things where lemmy users "remember" things that happened to hexbear, or are you telling me that the dbzero admins also got themselves banned from .ml and dessalines also decided not to defed?
Don't ever, under any circumstances, drink motorway service station coffee in France. It tastes like battery acid even if you're used to shitty coffee.
I did, it names a bunch of incidents where parts shat themselves then says it's way over budget. An actual explanation is definitely missing from the article.
Sounds like somebody didn't see all the endings. Seriously though, Yoko Taro loves bullying gamers and there is a lot of painful grinding involved in some of the endings - the scrapyard, flower, and fishing side quests particularly come to mind. Oh, and the one side quest where the item is right outside the door to the final bosses, so you have to go through the final dungeon, backtrack through the dungeon to turn in the quest, then go through the final dungeon again to get to the final fights.
“The level of sophistication is not what we would expect from an individual with this type of military experience,”
The lack of sophistication, surely. Guy apparently filled the truck with actual boxes of untampered fireworks, most people could tell you that's not gonna work as a bomb.
Same, one of the things that influenced my decision to buy my house was a long cupboard next to the hob that would be perfect for a 48 jar spice rack. The rack is now full and there's a small crate of miscellaneous spices sat on top of the cupboard.
Sorry, I should have said animal products - there's an attitude that there can be no stages of transition to a fully plant based life, you have to immediately excise everything animal based in your life and replace it with plant based alternatives. The irl vegans I know (and what I think OP is looking for) tend to be more in favour of encouraging people to take steps to improve rather than rejecting people for not having taken all of the steps yet.
Not certain on VTC, but Hexbear's vegan community definitely took a hardline stance against the things OP's asking for, with zero tolerance for things like vegetarianism or making changes to reduce your meat intake - it's all or nothing.
What do you mean? Hexbear doesn't have downvotes and people constantly complain about getting ratio'd by us. If an instance doesn't offer downvotes it completely blocks downvotes from being recorded, it doesn't leave you at the mercy of other's downvotes.
I really don't think you understand the scale of the ultra wealthy - the top 1% own almost half of the world's wealth. Yes, the next 1% are much different, as they don't own almost half of the entire world's money.
Going to see the parents for Christmas dinner and Wallace and gromit, followed by going home, smoking a fat joint, and watching the greatest chris- uh, Life Day movie of all time, the Star Wars Holiday Special.
Abomination Vaults has a mimic encounter where one is pretending to be a door and the other is pretending to be a weapon rack with a nice axe on it. Gets them either way.
You might also want to look into Rotgrind's Mimouthouse. It's exactly what it sounds like.
It's a decentralised FOSS reddit alternative built by and for communists. Your "lobby" is lemm.ee, because that's the instance you joined. If you want to see different communities you'll need to join a different instance with different federation.
They are all given a clean slate somewhat and are exposed to the exact same environment
OK, try actually imagining this "clean slate" and "same environment". Imagine yourself, right now, going to boot camp alongside someone who's lived a life of relative privilege with lots of educational and exercise opportunities - someone better educated, fitter, even taller than you. Imagine yourself alongside someone who lived a life lacking in privileges - a crappy or unfinished education, not particularly healthy, shorter than you.
Imagine how you and those two hypothetical people tackle the different obstacles this "same environment" gives you - imagine going through an actual obstacle course with them. How easy or hard does each person find each obstacle? Will a short person find climbing a rope or wall as easy as a tall person? How about balancing on a log, crawling under wire, or jumping over a ditch?
A "clean slate" isn't any kind of reset of their abilities and experiences. "The same environment" inherently means it challenges their individual abilities differently. They get different outcomes because they were different people to begin with, so react differently to their experiences, like everywhere else in life.
K gov has officially publicly announced that anyone on X who retweets an ongoing protest is a terrorist and they will be arrested. Elon musk is officially a terrorist and the uk gov has repeatedly asked usa to hand him over.
And in france it was many times in the news about a group of friends who were arrested for using Signal. A girl they tried to convince to start using signal called the police and said they are using anonymous communication called Signal and then they were arrested and all their computers taken and forensics went through all the data on their computer and judge said its criminal evidence they have ad blockers on their browser.
Could you provide sources for these, I have never heard such a thing and can't find anything resembling either story online.
