I'm catching up with Hyouge Mono and it is truly one of a kind. Mixing history with comedy and even fan service. The writing is superb and the characters are loveable - with flaws and all. It has 25 volumes so there is a lot of plot and character development as well.
If you like Bokkō, Plinivs, Thermae Romae or other historical-ish titles than this might be for you.
It has a nice vibe, easy to get engaged and I don't spend as much time on it as previously which is a win-win.
