  • The UK, you can easily get unlimited calls, SMS and data for £20 and even lower if there’s a promotion on. eg six months half price. I get it for £18 a month.

  • I’m much older than you and quite like the word which is why I used it.

I also think that sort of gatekeeping of words is another sign of the decay of society. People used to enjoy new words being coming into use but now they are ‘dumb’

It’s not cromulent and doesn’t embiggen the soul.

  • Also, an old person. I think the difference this time is twofold.

The people in charge are clearly crazy and in some cases unwell. The general enshitification of life. Ordinary every day things are much worse but more expensive.

I agree it won’t end but society as we knew it ten years ago (a hope that the future would be better, the big problems could be tackled) is finished.

  • I am also in the same position. It seems to have disappeared. Edit: it looks like the admin enabled Cloudflare which reports that the host server is not replying.

That means it’s either down or not configured properly.

  • I’m not only blaming Voyager, I was responding to the comment that it was a turd. It most certainly isn’t but it does have issues.

(By the way apps are beginning to work with 0.19 eg Avelon)

  • I wouldn’t say it’s a turd, but with Lemmy itself in a constant state of development there are some cracks appearing in Voyager. And it shows that it’s not being actively maintained.

From incompatibility with new versions through things like scrolling to top when coming back from a link to images not sharing correctly.

  • Basically they are rewriting it as they say they didn’t really know how to use the tools when they did v1. Which is why it’s an acquired taste.

  • I’m also seeing the problem on iOS. Voyager does need some TLC and to prepare for v0.19

  • Over on Matrix, there have been response time anomalies reported since earlier this afternoon.

  • That seems typical of the selfish nature of the world today (not your fault). But in ten years time you’ll have forgotten some of the details. In twenty years time some of the people in the photo won’t be here anymore and you’ll enjoy looking at them. In 40 years time your memory will be hazy. In 80 years time you’ll be a memory, someone’s old relation they only remember from photos.
