I have similar experiences. I converted my surface laptop to linux and overall I'm happy that I did, but games that ran fine on windows now are unplayable because I can't get it to work properly, neither with wine, unbottled nor proton.
I still have a W10 gaming pc and I planned on converting it to linux with pop os being the frontrunner, but I will keep it on dual boot with the fallback scenario of just going with W11. Linux is not and might never be ready for mass adoption because it is simply too reliant on volunteers, forums and self-troubleshooting for that.
Microsoft and Apple provide OS'es that are thoroughly tested and validated with firmware and drivers that are specifically written for them by people whose job it is to do that. It might not always be perfect, but it usually does what it needs to do right away.
"Technical" analysis is bullshit. There are enough value based indicators that show why the US stock market is going to have a rough time in the coming years without this hocus pocus speak.
E.g. the combined P/E of all stocks on the NYSE is over 25 while that of Nasdaq is over 29. That indicates a massive bubble as this ratio historically averages around 20.
This was already under Biden, Trump is just triggering the correction with his ineptitude instead of some outside factor. The fact he, unlike Biden, is not even trying to resolve the underlying causes will just make it worse.
Thinking about why the US is so keen on Greenland: It's only relevant for them if they intend to make enemies out of the EU, because they already have all the access they need. But only as long as they are allied with Europe.
It's clear where this is headed. Russia is not the only reason why Europe is rearming.
These fuckers will clean out a pond in your backyard in no time, so don't worry about them. They alternate between a range of ponds anyway, it's not like it's gonna starve. They are beautiful birds though.
That's not honest at all. European leaders may not always have liked how the Americans operated, but there always was a large amount of respect that stemmed from much more than just military might. The US has been a frontrunner humanitarian aid, soft diplomacy, scientific research and economic development since at least the end of WW2. Europe looked to the US to take the lead in global conflicts because the US always took the lead and would not have it otherwise.
With the Trump 2.0 administration however, European leaders do look down on the US administration for their incompetence and severe lack of manners and decency.
Having no shame is actually a perfect tool against blackmail. Take for example the former Indonesian president Sukarno. Sukarno was delighted when the KGB told him they had a tape of him having an orgy with Russian flight attendants and asked if he could have some copies. The CIA also tried and failed to blackmail him with (fabricated) sex tapes.
Well, for the "allies" that's a good thing as it will take many more years to complete than scheduled, be massively more expensive than budgeted and be unreliable as hell. This gives said allies a proper chance to build an actual good jet. My money would be on a 6th gen Gripen.
Thoroughly enjoyable grand prix. Deserved winner in Norris who had pole, fastest lap and P1. Great drive from Max as well and also Albon and Hulkenberg. This season is going to be a doozy!
I admire your passion. None of the things you mention are mutually exclusive with generally preferring to rise early, however. Preferring to rise early is not a statement against people working night shifts.
