Once it stops giving non-existent powershell commands, I'll give it another go, but for now it has wasted enough of my time.

I don't think it is outside of the realm of possibility that in 30 years we learn that the Mossad knew about this and were ordered to let it happen. The intelligence fuckup was so enormous that it seems plausible they at least knew something was up. And the Israeli government has proven itself cynical enough to lend such a thought possible.

To be fair, it was the largest cavalry charge in history. Between 30 and 40000 horsemen charging is insane. To put that into a comprehendible context, the charge of the rohirim you see in the Return of the King had 5000 horses. The largest charge in the Napoleonic wars (iirc) was Murats desperation charge at the battle of Eylau with 11000 cavalry, which somewhat won the day and is considered one of the great cavalry charges in history.

This charge was 3 to 4 times larger. It was truly a hurricane of vengeance.

At the risk of angering the Canadians on here, who are surprisingly touchy on the subject, I stand by my statement that Lance is out of his depth in F1. He's a decent enough race driver, but decent is not good enough in F1.

I can imagine they don't want accountants or IT people looking at porn while they work though. Their own websites are probably not filtered, but whether the work is for a porn site or a car manufacturer, you prefer them focussing on their work. For a content reviewer though, it's a different story.

While true, with this 180 it seems he has abandoned trying to work with the freedom idiot caucus. Not sure what the implications of that would be for the impeachment inquiry, which has 0% chance of going anywhere anyway, but I think we could see more bipartisan measures if he really abandoned the madness of negotiating with the moron squad.

It's inconvenient, but not scummy. Every business tries to increase its bottom line and this is not high up at all in the scumminess scale. And a heat map can be created without actually monitoring people but just by looking at sales vs placement. It can be done in a completely unobtrusive and privacy respecting way.

Just to be clear, I also get upset when my grocery store changes things up. It throws our shopping routine completely out of whack and causes more people in the store because everyone spends more time looking for their regular stuff.

Migrated from Digg to Reddit to Lemmy. And just like with Digg, I sometimes check in again to witness the wreckage. I think I spent a total of 10 minutes on Reddit since the api changes and at least 5 of those minutes were work related.

Muggles transitioning to wizards thanks to scientific advances are probably the worst nightmare of the purebloods. The orogin story of that could make an interesting movie/serie.
