I know a lot of women with university degrees (humanities) who ended up in HR, for some reason, and very bright ones as well. And while I have experienced shitty HR, I've also had the exact opposite where HR was super helpful and generally great people.

A friend once told me that is how gay people carry their bags, but my self-consciousness is not fragile enough to give up comfort for the odd chance of being considered homosexual. I used to have my pockets always filled, but since a couple of years I have a leather bag (i.e. a manpurse or as my wife calls it: the gay bag) in which I have my work phone, keys, wallet, chewing gum, sunglasses, reading glasses, paper tissues and sometimes a drinking bottle. I have 4 cats and I handle them all without getting scratched while trimming their nails. There is one cat that will bite the nail scissors, she is tricky to handle because of that. When she catches a finger between the nail scissors and her teeth, she bites full force and that does not make a pleasant experience. I tried burritoing her, but it's just easier to have her on her back and using sleight of hand to distract her.

As long as it's official business and they keep it official by officially removing all obstacles, they are legally perfectly in the clear. IANAL obviously, but total power seems just a matter of being audacious enough to grab it.

I know it as a book. I think I saw the movie once, but wasn't impressed. The book is a very good introduction to philosophy.

Volkswagens EV platform is a mess because the CEO responsible for the pivot to EV within VW, was only allowed to implement it if he stopped being the CEO. So the next guy half assed the 80B$ pivot to EV, leading to VW being one of the worst performers amongst EV producing OEMs.

So now they are on the market to buy whatever is needed to get them out of the hot mess they created themselves.
