They never take the blame - there’s always an ‘other’ to demonize.

What’s so disgraceful, especially in this case, is that as a result of this type of attitude, foreign languages were banned from being taught in public schools. This was a disaster for the Cajun culture in that state. Landry and Johnson should understand this more than most - it’s a slap in the face to what happened to their (and my) parents and grandparents.

I don’t disagree with you, but things are different this time around.

• They learned, regrouped, and have an actual plan. They’re also emboldened because they won the popular vote.
• Trump seems unable to actually face consequences for his many wide-ranging crimes. He will never see justice. People are resigned that no matter what he does in life, punishment will never come for him. It’s easy to feel resigned when you’re up against someone like that and there’s no more hope to be had.

The sad part is - this time they’ll hail that time period as just making ‘Murica great the first time.

We really are a shithole country at times.
