I stumbled across those comic strips here on Kelly quite recently for the first time. You are right, it is shite. Nothing worth reading or bothering for long. Blocked that community and scrolled along.

Besides the bank where the manager simply was my personal friend?

Funny story. I bought a high quality suit and used their, uhm, questionable external tailor service. Not only their quite expensive „same day express services“ took them five days (adding another 150km ride to my todo list), the store and the tailor both missed a security tag (those big ones you cannot miss).

My bad, I didn’t check the suit when I got it from the tailor, so I actually missed the tag as well - but it would have been too late anyway as the suit store was already closed.

The next day I actually tried the suit (as the day after that I had a job interview), and voila, a security tag you cannot miss.

I ringed the suit shop and the employee clearly didn’t understand the issue, so I told her this might be above her paygrade and she could transfer me to her manager.

The manager was flabbergasted and actually came after closing time all the way to my house with a device to remove those tags and apologised. Quite extraordinary customer service from his side. I should request him the next time I was in the shop and so I did. He reimbursed me the tailor fee, gifted me a tie (actually still my favourite tie) and told me they changed the tailor for their service.

I don’t care most of the times. It really depends. I really don’t like competition, at least in most cases, rather than team building and achieving a goal.

I guess I am quite average, but I couldn’t care less. If someone finds out I am before or above average from something, well, it doesn’t give me any valuable information. It doesn’t change who I am or what I do.

Emails don’t count here as “ in writing“, so if something needs to be in writing you need to send a signed letter - or a fax.

Fax is like a signed mail, but In almost real time. So if you send legal relevant stuff, you have proof what you sent and when the receiver got it.

However, you talk about Encryption, I don’t know if E-Mails can be encrypted, fax are definitely not. They go through a normal landline with those beep tones similar to a normal modem made when dialling into BTX or the early internet.

I do a very primitive method - I stir coarse grinder beans into the water and let it rest in the fridge for roughly about 12hrs, then filter it with a coarse cotton filter and then with a permanent dripping filter.

The result is great, but the effort is high.

Maybe I just let it rest in the French press and compare the result.

You know, this would count to all religions and even organisations. I would say all abrahamistic religions are quite similar evil or good. Hindi, Buddismn etc. have all „flaws“ as well.

Or think of sects/cults which doesn’t count as religion, like Scientology or suicide cults. Okay, those are extrem example, there is very little food in them, but still.

I am with you in education on religion and a good criticism in them. But besides that - live and let live as long as they are not doing any harm.

I’ve had the same Phillips coffee maker. Really good coffee in my opinion. Switched to a Moccamaster with a good grinder, but I prefer coldbrew at the moment (simply too hot for warm/hot coffee)

Besides that I am diagnosed F60.2 (dissocial disorder) which basically means Psychopath since there is no DSM-5 or ICD-10 for this.

I was in Psychosomatic Rehab for five weeks here in Germany. It was actually hell on earth for me.

I liberal had to beg that they gave me my prescribed medications (like for blood pressure, pain and migraine).

The therapist and medical doctor were the only one who were actually decent, but the therapist didn’t even manage to finish to gather the „status quo“ in those five weeks and I only saw the medical doctor three times. The rest was unsuitable for me, most of the things I couldn’t do either because it was locked down due to Covid or I couldn’t participate due to phobia of wearing masks.

What actually helps are medications I get from my psychiatrist. but rehab was a waste of time for me.

Well, I got many but all just at their given time. 3D printing is one of them, but actually it became more a handy tool than a pure hobby.

My convertible car has become one, I enjoy that so much (not only the driving but the tinkering and restoration as well). I want to bring it to Oldtimer status.

I like tinkering electronics. Think of arduino projects, but most of the time without the programming.

More mainstream is baking and carpeting, but actually these are to be neglected since I am rarely able to do them due to disability.

While it wasn’t for me, therapy is worth for the most people. You can learn new strategies and explore the cause of your problems and how to tackle them. Most people really benefit from it.

I am completely therapy resistant, several tried and gave up on me. This can be the case for you, but that is very unlikely. I am just a psychopath who doesn’t accept authority, that makes it impossible to do any therapy.
