  • I actually took a busted one of those and fit a 32in flat into it. Blocks off a little of the edges with the frame and gives it that square screen look without losing anything important. Cheap soundbar sounds amazing inside the box, everything is plugged into a surge protector inside and fed through the antenna hole.

I really want to get a Vintage breadbox or radio to put the DVD player inside of.

  • I'd highly suggest it. The winter solstice is a very refreshing take on the holiday season. Gifts aren't expected, we mostly just give socks, or warm blankets. Everyone in the house has a drawstring bag associated with the holiday and we put the socks and maybe candies in them too be opened after dinner on solstice night. Bigger gifts aren't frowned upon, but they have to be something meaningful and ideally with some level of hand made. This last year my spouse gave me 5 pairs of socks that she tyedyed herself and I gave her a dinosaur shaped coathook and plack for her backpack to hang on.

  • I celebrate the solstice in both the summer and winter.

The winter solstice is a celebration of the family of hearth and home. A quite and intimate celebration within your household where you exchange handmade gifts with the goal of improving the lives of those around you.

The summer solstice is a celebration of the family of the trail, those you pick up along the way who come to mean more than a passing fondness. This is celebrated as a large bonfire where everyone brings food or drink for theirs and two more and are encouraged to invite someone they'd like to know better than they already do. The goal is to meet others and celebrate life.

  • I want to take it even further down, what effect does China harvesting my data have? I'm a poor white man working in a school in the Midwest with extreme left beliefs. I'm not privy to government Intel, I don't when go to school board meetings. All I watch is redstone tutorials and goblin-core videos. I'm not saying I'm a default demographic, but if you take the entire digital footprint of everyone I know, you're getting terrabytes of wasted space. You can't even use it to radicalize us because we use it for escapism, not news. Not that that's an option, I'd happy sell out this shithole for a stable job and dental, but I don't see China sending me any pizza parties.

  • Morrowind on the original Xbox came with cheat codes. Put the cursor over the health, magicka, or fatigue bar, enter the codes with the black and white buttons then hold A until the bar fills. If you close the menu before you let go of A, it will continue to refill constantly until you open your menu again.

    Health: B, W, B, B, B, A

    Magicka: B, W, W, B, W, A

    Fatigue: B, B, W, W, B, A

You could actually use the magicka code for all 3, but I liked that there were 3 different codes.

  • In our house we do both, but each place has a dedicated food list. Comfort foods, fast foods and lazy foods can be eaten in the living room, it feels gratuitous to eat pizza rolls and veg at the table, but it's an easy thing to eat and watch a family show with. Proper meals, fancy meals, long noodles, and soups are all table food. Watching a show over a plate of braised chicken with seared acorn squash takes away from the presentation of the plate and lessens the experience.
