She sure is lazy with all those rallies and interviews and events while he doggedly cancels almost everything claiming exhaustion.

Elian lost his mother coming here and was living with relatives in Miami. His Cuban father (rightfully, in my opinion) wanted him back. His family here reasonably argued that his mother's last act was to bring him to the US and hence he should remain.

The legal battle and ultimate decision he was to be sent back traumatized an innocent kid, but it's not the same. The US was in the middle of a family fight where both sides were asserting viable arguments and the kid was a pawn. I don't see that being a US policy mistake.

Simply put if the population centers alone are considered cities decide elections.

It was deemed unfair to let that be because the rural/farm areas would have no say…so they over corrected and created a system which leaves a few generally smaller states decide.

So Iowa and New Hanpshire have undue influence on primaries and hence the candidates nominated and PA, GA, WI, MI and perhaps FL decide the election (and in FL on again the higher population in citities are out-influenced by the far less populous but more numerous rural counties in the same way).

Basically good(ish) or perhaps cynical intentions and unintended consequences.

Odd then that they didn't send rain when CA was burning or hail on J6 or some such.

I wonder if they'll ever consider that an almighty god could, you know, NOT send the hurricane instead.

That's the argument as I understand it - they hope to generate sympathy from the public and I assume legal system…”looks at that frail, harmless old man”. It's a charade that I experienced while in a jury pool - defendant was in a wheelchair and looked like a weak, sick elderly man…accused of stabbing and nearly killing a much younger, healthy woman. I doubt she just stood there as he slowly rolled up.

Ironically in any just reality this would put precisely such policies to the test and reveal the inability of law enforcement to distinguish between a threat and a open carry gun-toting “good guy” and undermine the flawed logic that armed people reduce the likelihood of violence.

I don’t expect to in FL but would be nice.

Man I don't know…I wouldn't bail, maybe it is solely a living, but consider if you're being seen as a paycheck and nothing more.

If that's how you met and is only basis of interacting …. eeek, more red flags than a parade in Beijing. If you are in a healthy relationship and they happen to do OF as a money maker and you both are cool with it, that's different.
