  • Yes. The Judiciary is quite compromised thanks to electing that idiot and will be for years. I take solace knowing that some people found Hillary unlikeable, because that was a rational basis to ignore her ample experience and demonstrated skill in governance.

    /s because JFC this timeline

  • A great point were it not quantifiably true that immigrants have lower per capita rates of criminal activity than citizens. Also, it is perfectly legal to come into the country and ask for asylum (which many are doing), it is further known that there is rampant and illegal employment for migrant workers by agricultural and hospitality industries that rarely suffer any consequences for exploiting and underpaying workers. (See: dollar menu pricing)

Ignoring the motives behind migration and even worse the lack of funding for enforcement of legislation whose reform is stuck for political reasons blames the victims for their plight.

But simple explanations are easier, no matter how wrong they may be factually.

  • It is alleged that she had a reputation for being very good at oral sex and had demonstrated such skills to numerous Hollywood figures. I have absolutely no personal knowledge to verify or dispute such an assertion.

  • “Historic Iowa victory”. He won 51% out of some 110k votes. In 2020 he won 98% of far more votes there.

Yeah he won, but it’s not the anointment it’s being reported as being. The result suggest many GOP voters sitting out or preferring options.

That said they WILL coalesce around the nominee because they always do while the left will still be cats in a bag.

  • If she did anything inappropriate that is separate from the election interference he's being prosecuted for. Much like Stormy Daniels' lawyer that is accused of ripping her off didn't change the fact that she was paid hush money.

I don't see it as relevant to the prosecution. Separate matter they're trying to exploit to muddy the water.

  • Unfortunately he’ll still win. Remember Uvalde voted for Abbot after the school shooting. After it exposed the absolute incompetence of their leadership they said “yep that’s who we want”. Cruz is sadly safely in his seat.

  • I understood it perfectly - my point which applies to both comments is that nothing in the 14th stipulates or indeed even mentions conviction, it does specifically exclude insurrection which applies, as determined by the Colorado court, solely to Trump.

The original response was flawed in its premise, agreed, but the guilt angle is Constitutionally irrelevant regardless - that was my point.

  • No, but you said Trump has not been found guilty which is not required for him to be precluded from running for office. It’s an artificial bar some are trying to set unsupported by the text in the Constitution.

In any rational timeline SCOTUS would agree but with these justices who knows.

  • Article 14 doesn’t stipulate guilt, just engaging in which the Colorado court determined he did. His removal is the result of due process. So if they can show in court that Biden did the same then sure…but they cannot.

Not the same, purely partisan BS.
