  • And the people who designed this promotion are also not as smart as they think they are.

If all they need is an email, there is nothing illegal about using multiple email addresses.

Now, the OP could have missed something in the T&Cs but based on what they have said, they are not doing anything illegal.

  • Nukes are a phantom menace. Great to have a few to stop getting invaded but completely useless as offensive force projection.

If all the money and talent spent on this thing had been spent of conventional forces Ukraine would be in a lot more trouble than it is now.

  • I spent a decade working in insolvency.

When we were going into a business that had failed the question was "Are the idiots, criminals or both?"

    One highlight:

A boat sales / marine business goes bust. When we arrive with the paper work and seize the place there are about a dozen new boats on the lot worth several million. We change the locks on the gates.

Arrive the next day, the gates have been busted open and several million in boats are now missing. We look up the addresses of the owners (one of them lives on acreage) and drive to their property...from the road we can see the boats stashed there. Really smart guys.

So we call the police. Someone inside notices use there and decides to flee with one of the boats, it is huge but they think they can get away.

We then have the slowest car chase in history as we calmly follow this guy towing a boat on a trailer down the road while talking to the cops to meet us.

  • The problem is you don't know what is in ink and what is in pencil till years after the fact.

A forum I visited way back when, Kuro5hin, no longer exists but there is some snapshots on archive.org but I doubt that anything I wrote there is accessible (or traceable back to me either here of in real life.)

A blog I wrote for a couple of years back around '07 is definitely still online. But again, there is no way to connect it to current me.

TLDR: Be really sure before you put your real life name or identifying info to anything online.

  • That is a big part of it.

When the first question you are asked for decades when meeting someone is "What do you do?" it gets ingrained that your only value is what you do.

Add in the fact that men hitting that age now have basically never received any positive reaction for expressing any emotions or vulnerability and usually outright been mocked for doing so and it is no wonder they are are hard group to reach...

  • First you would have to assume or prove that chestnuts have sentience. (the ability to experience feelings and sensations)

Next you would have to assume or prove that chestnuts have potential. (The inherent ability or capacity for growth, development, or future success. )

Then you would have to assume or prove that chestnuts have agency. (the capacity of individuals to have the power and resources to fulfill their potential.)

Then you would have to find a group of chestnuts that have all of the above but doing nothing to reach their potential. While also ensuring that there are no impediments in their environment or upbringing that are constraining them or holding them back.

Then you could, credibly, accuse that particular group of chestnuts of being lazy.
