  • What a joke you are. Are we actually supposed to pretend your guns are more than cosplay props when you're not even willing to risk being banned from anonymous social media to advocate your cause?

Well I'm not scared of being banned, so take your guns and your pro-gun astroturfing and fuck off.

  • And yes, I do mean slightly, but am not going to go more into details of the other methodology with much higher body counts that the hatred of small minded folks have taken over the years

Apologist bullshit. There is no reality where this man threatens an Uber driver with a truck bomb. Even when talking about domestic terrorism, bombs are far more effort with far more risk, which is why they're not already used.

  • I'm not saying we take to the streets with weapons

Then you're doing nothing but shilling for the gun lobby, who immediately donate millions to the worst Republicans.

If you're going to advocate guns, you should be willing to tell people what to use them for.

  • The law is not issuing guns to teachers, it's allowing teachers to concealed carry in a school if they pass some tests and get approval from a few relevant people

So in other words, the gun laws teachers are subject to may actually be effective for stopping dangerous and negligent people from owning a firearm but we can't apply similar policies to the public because it would inconvenience reactionaries and weapon manufacturers.

  • Also glossed over every time this stupid fucking "more guns" idea is proposed: Are we going to make carrying a gun mandatory for teachers? What's the actual number of teachers who want to be armed while teaching?

The only reason this shit gets support is because it's profitable to the gun lobby. One day the kids that the pro-gun community threw under the bus will run the country and they're going to have no compassion whatsoever for the people who armed their classmates, teachers and random psychopaths who wanted their suicide to be on the news.

  • It also allows people to use much higher quality products. She's pulling a power tool out in the picture and goddamn, there's some garbage tools out there, even from quality brands. Renting a $1000 tool sounds better than buying a $100 tool and encouraging the race to the bottom.

  • But what about the profits? You can't go around not profiting just because a few thousand children are being killed, disfigured and orphaned! It's like you don't understand neoliberalism at all.

Sarcasm aside, stopping the money and weapons isn't enough to stop the genocide because Israel never needed any of it in the first place. But if you funnel hundreds of billions of dollars to defence contractors, there's nothing the US government won't consent to.

Orange man won't be any different. He's not even trying to pretend it's not a genocide, just coming out and saying Israel should "finish the problem".

  • Unfortunately, that nightmare is absolutely on its way. The moment companies work out how to secure their initial prompts, they'll start selling product placement. As the technology continues to become more accessible, it will be used for astroturfing and manipulating financial markets.

A decade from now, social media is just going to be an endless flood of secret AI sales reps trying to convince other secret AI sales reps to buy their shit products, vote for their shit candidates or follow their shit investment advice.

  • Sure, I can broaden the options: You're either dumb as fuck, leaving out important context that won't apply to most people or just outright lying.

Whatever the answer is, you're clearly trying to give the impression that you're a bootstrap-pulling neoliberal that is morally above accepting welfare.
