I was reading that Europeans actually found a way to sex the egg so they don't hatch the male eggs, thus negating the need to destroy male chicks. I'm guessing the technology costs money so it's unlikely that US factory farms would use it. Probably easier to kill the with the grinder.

I've been working nights for a good chunk of my life and I can't understand why people say this. I prefer to drive at night, maybe if I didn't live in a big city I might think differently. But, I've never had an accident, I rarely sit in traffic, cops generally have bigger shit to deal with at night so I don't need to worry about speed traps or anything. I can't think of any downside to night driving
Just picked up a new FireTV 4k Max because I heard it was the perfect device for emulation, and it is. And fairly cheap. I had been running emulators on an older firestick but the new one has much better OTG support and will recognize USB storage without mounting via Adb. RetroArch and many other standalone emulators are available on the Amazon store so you don't even need to sideload the apps anymore.
Ive tested up to PS2 and barring a few known titles it'll run pretty much everything. N64 included.
Amazon have stated they plan to drop Android on their sticks in the future, and switch to their own OS which I doubt will support these kinds of uses, so grab one while you can.
Ok... I'm in the same boat, severe sleep apnea because of it. I sleep with 2 pillows, a dense down filled for the base and then a soft pillow on top for comfort. Keeps my head at the right height but also allows me to roll over.
Yes, it works quite well. I found a playlist of all the episodes I was looking for, every file I looked at had sponsor block segments (should've kept looking as the newer files didn't have them) and set it to download the entire playlist. It checks the api and removes any segments that it finds, extracts the audio and reencodes to mp3. Sounds great.
ReVanced can make use of root, but doesn't require it. I use ReVanced on an unrooted phone, and the core of ReVanced is the official YouTube app so everything works the same way. You pick "patches" to disable ads, shorts, etc.
Shhh, best not to mention Plex on Lemmy. The jellyfin mafia will come down and tell you repeatedly how amazing Jellyfin is and why we should give up our lifetime plex pass' to use an inferior product cause its free and open source.

Wayland doesn't play well with proprietary Nvidia drivers.
Manjaro stuck with X11, and people complain about it on the forums alot. I run Nvidia, and X11 while dead works just fine for me.
