  • it was Russian before that for I don’t know how long

1783, the fall of Crimean Khanate, but most of population was Slavic for a loong time by then, Tatars ruling it were a minority.

  • I would commented that somehow but i ran out of comments for "anarchists supporting imperialism" loooooong ago.

  • Crimea is actually super strategic point, if you look at history of Russia. Whomever controls it, control several trade routes including the main Russian river trade route, and also have good chance to control Black Sea. You can see a lot of countries vying for power there - from Byzantium through Crimean Tatars, Turkey to Russia. And for Russia it is the most significant trade route even today - if you ever wondered why Russian Empire wanted Constantinople and USSR pressed Turkey for neutrality it was precisely to secure this route.

So when USSR was destroyed and Crimea ended up in Ukraine, Russia found itself potentially cut off from Black Sea militarily, thus without option to actually secure its own main trade route. That's why they secured the lease of the port of Sevastopol, but it was half measure, as became evident in 2014, one of the main reasons of USA supporting that coup was to annul that lease and kick off Russian Navy from Black Sea which would allow easy grabbing Russia by the balls economically. Russia obviously was prepared for that and they immediately pushed for the annexation.

So, @SpaceDogs@lemmygrad.ml Zelensky probably don't give a shit, but his CIA handlers do.

  • Alternatively it might be pure saturation, iirc they launched something like 30 patriots, and the interception is still not confirmed so all might missed.

  • Yes, "it's not nazism untill they mass murder Jews" is very common take in the lib internet

  • Zelensky told Xi he want Crimea back

  • Yup, it's great relief now

  • For professional artist, deadlines mostly. This don't change in socialism.

  • Value is socially necessary labour time.

Important point. I would say that every profession artist in any system would create things for people to see (or hear etc.) and take under consideration what they want to see. Unpopular artists were sidetracked and fired even in socialist states.

There was basically two ways to become a pro then - one was being scouted at amateur contests/exihibits/clubs etc and the second was graduating from an art school. Both involved making art that was popular and/or appreciated by state institutions.

  • Another obvious thing liberals and adjacent don't understand is that political ideologies don't exist in the void, they are created and modified by the living society and will change to reflect that society. I would think this fact is absolutely obvious to anyone who licked even a small bit of history, but it's apparently arcane knowledge and you need to be a marxist to know it...

  • From Mao Zedong: "FOLLOW LIBERALISM":

We could name more. But these eleven are the principal types.

They are all manifestations of liberalism. You need to follow them

  • It's twitter phenomenon mainly, their concentration on one social media make them even more obvious psyop.

  • Iirc there were reports of cluster mines being showered over Donetsk even before the 2022

  • Exactly, we can at best count for some confusion when the US media machine realigns itself to the new thing and then they will get back to being smug again, like everything didn't happened.

  • Yes, yeltsinization of China would be exactly what they want.

  • They absolutely already did accepted it happening in their own country in time of peace, as murders of Black Panthers shown. And they will CALL for it in the future when the class war intensify in the west.

  • Libs from lemmy, they do occasionally see our posts. Lemmy also working like shit lately and weird, my 4 month old post got pushed to "hot", and it wasn't exactly hot even then (it should be though, Zelensky calling for WW3 is kinda big, even though he was most likely high).

  • Caucasian Europeans

As in, Georgians, Armenians, Azerbaijanis etc? /s

I think we should stop using nonsensical US terms.

it can be used in radically different ways dependent upon the region as well

    I guess.
