I blame the 2 party system. The democrats could do us on this but the whole culture war thing is really a huge distraction. Democrats seem willing to lose out on everything they proclaim to care about to make everything qia+ their main focus. And they should probably not try to take texan guns on the same platform as anything else.
A don't mess with texan women campaign by a pro gun democrat that is quiet and center on other social issues, along with generic "economic growth" talk might actually do well.
To be fair I think the donkey heads have had multiple opportunities to fix things and I still think RGB was a selfish idiot. I really don't know what the elephant heads are thinking in the long term, the only reason they don't landslide lose because of this is because the donkey heads do everything they can to make progress at the pace of a geriatric snail while preaching controversial stuff on purpose.
I love my subaru, but I do have everything on a stupid touch screen. I would have gone in that 2022 Forester that still had a bunch of real buttons, but it didn't come with a turbo option so I went with the Outback where everything was integrated. Even then the Android auto experience could definitely be better.
It feels like San Francisco's fault. Apple and tesla-esque design language spreading like a plague because it's cheap to manufacture and people think it's trendy.
I bought a 2023 Subaru outback. Great car, only quibbles are the CVT instead of a traditional Auto or manual for longevity reasons, and most of my controls are on a big old touch screen. The issue is that everything is routed through it, and it lagggggggs.
Yeah unfortunately as cultures get air conditioners, they can take more heat as a society, but individually most people don't ever truly be hot adapted. Then you get a place where people run from their ACd job to their ACd carto their ACd grocery store and finally get to heir ACd house.
I remember the good old 4chan days when every 3rd post was about how "this is the cancer that is killing /b/" ...
Which in hindsight was not wrong. It's a husk of what it was. I fought with many a /b/tard in the great Tumblr wars. It was remnant of a more wild age, before the summer posters, before the psyops.
I honestly don't know how I feel. Most content feels like 'consume our product/content and give us monthly fee' instead of nice shows and movies. Everything seems to have a point where it pulls me out and I find myself questioning if I'm crazy or if everything feels like shit.
There are some amazing gems, but for years it feels like Hollywood has cared less and less about making cool and engaging media and are instead of focusing on manipulating people.
I'm sure the problem is coming from the top, but writers and actors have been pretty shit too
The issue is that is that now they have your billing address and credit card number
