  • yeah, I thought about that option however I would like to have my hardware of the server accessible. until I am not upgrading power consumption wise it does not make sense for me to buy a vps.

(neglecting the point about data owning etc)

  • but if you have to when out, it would sync whenever you have it back on the lan.

thanks. this was the information I was hoping for. I am stuck with a mobile internet router where I am not able (or at least Im not smart enough) to forward a port. therefore my RPi would sit behind the firewall in my LAN.

nevertheless vaultwarden would be an upgrade from my current keepass/syncthing system. (also because the UI and autofill works better)

  • thats in general the culprit with own server.

but in my place electricity itself costs not much, half of the cost is only taxes and other expenses around the energy.

therefore 200 kwh more or less in a year(that would be 25 watts) is not that much.

  • thats really great.

Im currently saving up on a new roof of an older farm building, and depending on the utilities I can come up I will put solar panels on it.

I am really thinking how to utilize the extra power, this one sounds like a great addition to an business concept for downtimes.

  • lacks some convenient features

found out the hard way. haha.

should have read your answer first.

thanks anyway. Ive took time to try out sway in the meantime. firefox still doesnt want to run in wayland mode. but In general sway fells good (coming from i3 daily driver)

  • a quick search on the net did not answer my question...

    therefore:

do you use it also outside your lan? (with port forwarding, ssl cert etc.)

if no, are you able to use the passwords nonetheless on your phone even when youre not in our lan?

  • I am on the search for having my wealth/assets as well my personal finance in one basket.

currently I am using a bypass system by handling every asset as an account in my budgeting program.

can ghostfolio be extrapolated to have basic daily accounting needs also covered?

the promo video looks fancy but unfortunately lacks showcases.

'+ can some user tell me how the import functions are working? (good=automated, bad= manual)
