  • I understand that a sheriff signs off for a carry permit in most places

In Maryland, when I tried to purchase a handgun, you had to also have a permission slip from the local sheriff to purchase a handgun at all, even if it stayed locked in a safe in your home

  • When I went to purchase a handgun, I was told I would need the permission of the local sheriff, in addition to the safety course.

I'm not going to jump through hoops to exercise a right that protects me from the same people who are attempting to hold my rights hostage.

Also, how many of them can legally carry a gun in Maryland?

  • I left in 2014 when you had to beg for permission to even purchase a handgun. Have things become better? Since the politicians are still proposing things like this, I assume not.

  • This will pretty much only affect the friends/family of politicians, as they are the only ones that can get a permit to legally carry in Maryland.

  • It's been a bit, so I forgot some details, but my order was a pre-order

  • I have a framework, pretty happy with it - Arch installed without any hitches and runs well. Only downside is how long it took to go from deposit to actually paying/shipping.

  • That is the intent of RTO policies, yes. It's a lot cheaper to compel workers to quit rather than fire them.

  • Game is really hard for new players, consider changing the challenge level from hard to easy as your default.

  • Why?

I see the more realistic probability of the car picking up and then dropping off a passenger, and then picking up another. I don't think customers would be happy if the car they were riding made their trip longer in order to force them to share the car.

  • Literally nobody would know who she is without this relationship. She isn't funny, and wouldn't get a deal with anyone if Chuck wasn't pulling strings.

  • Would you mind taking pictures and talking about your process? I would be interested in seeing this project and the choices you make for it

It looks to me like DC still goes out of its way to make even buying a weapon a pain in the ass:

Application for Firearms Registration Certificate (PD-219)
Firearms Registration Application Statement of Eligibility
Firearms Certificate Information Update Form (Please complete this form and submit it to the Firearms Registration Branch via email at firearms.adminbox@dc.gov)
    Fingerprint Fee Notice and Worksheet
    Firearm Application Addendum-Used Firearm Explanation
Take Online Firearms Safety Training Course (30 Minutes) and bring certificate to initial visit Copy of your Government Issued Identification, i.e., Driver’s License, Military ID (original will be verified again in person)

I guess ATF-4473 doesn't do enough tracking/registering for their liking.

And that's before you go beg the cops to be allowed to legally carry a weapon to defend yourself.

  • The reward for exceptional hard work...is more work. Maybe you'll get an extra half a percent raise at the end of the year, but the increase in wages never matches inflation, even if you max out most corporate performance review scales.
