I’m kinda surprised there’s no NSFW version of Twitch tbh, I’d imagine it would be the easiest pile of money if they could capitalize on how much porn these Twitch gals are doing as a separate brand or something.

EDIT: Should clarify, I meant an Amazon-owned NSFW Twitch using Twitch branding. I know cam sites exist and also got lucky on Omegle a few times.

Bridal jewelry worker here. I can absolutely confirm that, yes, you can indeed spend $10k on a ring setting and stone very easily. You can also spend $35k on a single ring if you got something from Hearts on Fire or Tacori.

Most of the cost comes from the stone and not the ring setting itself though. Like you can spend maybe at most like $5k on a platinum ring setting and another $10k+ on the stone.

They’re one of those “gEnOcIdEr JoE” types that don’t realize the US would’ve backed Israel regardless of who was President.

Also, the military industrial complex is fucking insane and it’s arguable that the US has invested so much into it that it would hugely impact the economy between all the programs, jobs, and money in general we (over)give to them.

You forget we live in a society where we have bought tickets and raffles for the chance of being able to buy Air Jordans or Yeezys or w/e fuck shoe that did that.

But it’s the start of the slippery slope, and having a mindset like yours where it’s more or less “wait until it happens then attempt to do something” is what allows shit like this to happen.

Yeah, a lot of people I noticed that are for paid mods either aren’t aware or ignore the fact about Bethesda wanting a cut of the money, as well as the fact that mod thievery was rampart on the Creation Club so people could get popular for mods they stole from Nexus. To me, both those facts are a huge red flag about Bethesda’s paid mods model.

EDIT: Consider that some of the most popular mods for Bethesda games are bug fixes. If you had to pay for a bug fix mod that helps the game not break, is that acceptable? It would even further reinforce the idea that Bethesda can ship out an incomplete product, let the players fix it, then charge the players for that fix under the guise of “helping out the mod author”.

Kind of an odd anecdote, but I remember when bronies were a thing, they legitimately made an entire community effort to scrub all the porn and adult-target content from My Little Pony searches so kids won’t see stuff like the Rainbow Dash cum jar when they look up MLP.

Kinda wish more internet communities made that kind of effort to clean stuff up so kids aren’t desensitized to horrible stuff early on.

Yes, but I explicitly said mortgage only without including utilities, taxes, and insurance if you have to pay that separately from the mortgage. Those things can (and most likely will) change - albeit usually not to the degree that landlords love to pricegouge on rent.

Like, take my same place again as an example. I only pay like $1350 for a mortgage, sure, but I also pay $600 in utilities and maintenance fees. My monthly payment to live in a normal environment is short of $2000 a month. My fees will go up again an extra 2% starting next year, so I am paying more - not that much, sure, but it is more. If I was renting a place for $1500 and didn’t have to pay for utilities, even a 20% increase from $1500 to $1800 would still be absolutely cheaper than buying my studio. Renting becomes fucked when landlords go “yeah, pay $1500 a month and you also have to pay for your utilities. Also I’m increasing the rent next month by 20% lmao get fucked nerd”.

This is, of course, just looking at cost. That’s ignoring the fact you’re paying a mortgage to own something versus paying somebody else’s mortgage or just lining their pockets.

My mortgage in a HCOL area is around $1350 month (excluding anything else) for a 350sqft studio. Rent for something similar in the same area I live starts at around $1500 on the cheap end.

The only way you’re saving money with buying vs renting is if you’re not paying a single cent on utilities in the place you are renting (which is highly unlikely around my area). If you’re paying for your own water, electric, internet, and whatnot, you’re basically paying the same whether you buy or rent.

Easy answer OP: none.

My post is explaining why this would have happened regardless of who was in charge in response to the honestly stupid “gEnOcIdEr JoE” post. If you ask me, this shouldn’t even be happening in the first place, and I personally don’t advocate for war and/or genocide nor condone such barbaric actions because of the more harmful long-term consequences such things have on people from both sides of the conflict. We should have agreed to the ceasefire, and am disappointed we veto’d it.

Actual question: why in the fuck can the US veto actions by the UN? Can other countries veto as well? Or is it only the US that can do that with the implied threat we’d swing our militaristic dick around or something?
