  • Just to the left of Demimoore.

  • They'd be taking out the core and putting in tulip bulbs instead đŸŒ·đŸŒ·đŸŒ·

  • Yeah, I was expecting the size of those 200-ton dump trucks. This is small in comparison.

  • Teams (Classic), actually.

  • Like US politics... đŸ€ź

  • How so? What does this do?

  • I recently started with fish and dislike that I can't drop bash commands into it because it parses differently. That is enough to annoy me to uninstall.

  • Some EU countries (and the City of Munich) habe tried to shift from MS to Linux. It didn't pan out, but maybe this is the decade where it could be done?

Imagine getting EU funding to run basically the EU IT department - best Linux, best management, supporting open Office suites, and establishing an EU cloud operation. One can dream, right?

I guess it didn't work well last time partly because of re-training needs, interoperability issues, etc.

  • These dictionaries are a godsend for figuring out what a given kanji means, and how to pronounce it.

There are around 40 000 kanji characters. Most have various meanings depending on context. And depending on the context, a character is spoken in entirety different ways.

  • Obviously the dogs' handlers will continue to care for their dogs. It's not okay that they might be spending their own money to do so.

Y'all Muricans need to stop this madness. Sincerely, rest of the world.

  • Apple... Monetisation... Aren't they already making like a billion per day?

    Greedy fuckers.

  • Because they need to be honest and adhere to the EU regulations and not be asshole thieves like Muricans and Chinese?

Being "nice" severely limits your options.

  • If you're one of the folks that didn't vote, then please feel guilty for the absolute moron you got. Regards, Europe.

  • This makes sense, but it would still allow a hundred times more people to use the model without running into limits, no?

  • So if the Chinese version is so efficient, and is open source, then couldn't openAI and anthropic run the same on their huge hardware and get enormous capacity out of it?

  • I've had much joy from using 'windsurf', the VSCode clone with the stupidest name.

  • I speak four languages at native level, because I can change languages mid sentence and you wouldn't know which one is my actual origin language (hint: it's two).

I'm more than fluent. Fluent just means you can speak in complete coherent sentences without hesitation. You can do this but still have a strong accent - like many of the Indian tech wizards, for instance.

Native, to me, means that it's practically indistinguishable from a person that grew up in that country, and you can't tell that I didn't actually grow up in that country.
