  • What a badly written article, wrongly explaining both the diff and the CV joint. That's not what they do or how they work.

  • F you're a beginner then I think my first advice to you is to not use Blender. Start with something like TinkerCad, much easier to work with, and more than adequate for what stated.

TinkerCad lets you add shapes together, and the neat thing is that there are also hole shapes, negative volumes that you can use to cut away material.

  • So much junk going up there for private companies' profit :-(

  • Looks like nobody pointed out the obvious here:

Domains cost around 10-20$€£ per year. That amount is rent, paid to the registrar.

If you find a domain that costs more than that, then you are not dealing with a registrar. You are dealing with a domain squatter that owns the usage rights to that domain name, and the price is what they demand to transfer that right to you.

If you're stupid enough to pay that, you'll still need to pay the actual fee to the registrar when the next billing period starts.

  • I feel frustration because it sounds like you are right and that is not helping.

  • Valuable! I never had to cook at home, so I never learned it. I still don't like cooking - because I am bad at it!

To me it's a chore. I use to say it's like brushing my teeth - it's no fun but we have to do it every day.

  • I agree with you. Plus, most of us are forced to use Windows 11 at work, where we spend most of our screen time.

Maybe I can bother with Linux at home, but that's a fraction of the use case here.

  • edit: I meant to say this to the one you replied to!

  • Finally some technology news that isn't about Twatter AI Tesla shit - - and then it's furry maniacs. I want to get off this planet.

  • Thank you ❤️ I love it very much but am obviously biased.

  • AI, Twatter, Tesla - there's hardly anything else in this community... :(
