  • People can't memorise computer industry acronyms!

  • Do you remember before we had usb devices, our laptops had credit-card-sized PCMCIA slots?

I love that word. What's it mean? People can't memorise computer industry acronyms. ;-)

  • I know some of those words... the short ones.

  • Tell that to 99% of Europe where every idiot is using whatsap and the few who don't are shunned. FML

  • If you don't mind, could you please check your typing? You had some obvious typos so I am not so sure of the exact name of the tool you are suggesting.

  • I agree. First I used vacuum sealed bags (one per spool) with dessicant, now I use a big plastic tub with 1kg of dessicant. It seems to help, but slowly. I might buy one of those Sunlu drying devices for 2 spools at a time.

  • Can you give 1 sentence for the video impaired please?

  • Don't know any good open source. Use TinkerCad...

  • My living room PC drives my TV projectos and runs Win7. It will continue to do so forever.

Alas, Steam says it will stop working on 01.01.2024 😡 big bummer.

  • Yeah. I would pay extra for a phone that is a few millimeters thicker but runs for three days! I can't be the only one??

  • True but luckily they are still allowed to do their thing - for now, anyway.

Don't mess with Waze, and copy all the cool stuff into Maps. Please.

  • Always on? Bah! It wears out the screen and drains the battery.

My Sammy S10 can barely last a day even with most things off. My Sammy watch also lasts maybe 22 hours.

When do we finally get devices that can run for three weeks?

  • My trusty old Psion Series 5 was an awesome pocket computer that would run for three weeks on two AA batteries!

It also had a large touch screen and a clever physical keyboard that was just large enough for ten-finger typing.

I used it for 15 years, it was amazing and no smartphone ever came close.

  • S6 Was the last model to have that. Was awesome.

  • That was really scary to read!

Here's an adult in a modern western country who seriously weighs death against well-being. That is mind-boggling to me.

With all my heart, I sincerely hope you find your way to health, without being crippled by debt.

  • Only once when it was new, so I didn't get the reference. I'm a fan of such throwbacks though👍

  • What's that first word mean?

  • I can't find Readably in the Play store. Got a link?
